besides the phillies, rockies r next hottest team in NL

peavys by far the better pitcher here, but when u consider the 2 teams...this is a 50/50 game, and +182 is a lot of value

Last 20 on the road Colorado is 9-11 while Padres are 15-5 against reasonable opposition. Based on this would say the number is reasonable with not much lean either way. It is a bet on Colordo though. If you do batter vs pitcher Colorado on 154 at bats is hitting 331 against Peavy with 5 different players hitting home runs. Lifetime he is 3-2 at home vs Colorado. Why is Colorado not at least 40% which getting such a huge number is a money maker.

The Rockies have done what they needed to do to stay in the playoff picture, winning five straight and sweeping the Dodgers, but along the way they have not been able to make up any ground on the San Diego Padres as they come into this series winners of seven straight games. Something has to give and here is the Rockies chance as they get three head-to-head games against the Padres, and a sweep will put them only 1.5 games behind. Colorado will be sending rookie sensation Franklin Morales in the opener who has pitched 11 scoreless innings in his last two starts, while San Diego will counter with their Ace in Jake Peavy. Despite being the MLB ERA leader, Peavy could have some problems against a Colorado team that is at their best on the road in night games against right-handed pitching where they are an impressive +$835 with an offense averaging 5 runs per game. That 5 run per game output is significant when you consider that San Diego offensive production in their home ballpark has been atrocious this season -$610 with an offense that averages just 3.8 runs per game. This is a very nice price on a very capable team!

I played COLO +1.5 runs -120. I think this game has a great shot at being tied or a 1 run lead late in the game.

YEH...I JUST THINK IF THE PADRES HADNT PLAYED GIANTS AND pirates over last 6, especially with cassell, tomko, and a cold chris young gettin g starts, they would be somehwere between 3-3. and 4-2.......

the 6 wins over those 2 teams gives the impression theyr hot....

i will belive perhaps theyr a "team of destiny", although how can u quantify such a thing.

They got the miracle walkmoff with hairstons homer (made people cover the 1.5 run line that day as well)

But the rockies had similar 2 out none on rally start with heltons bottom 9th inn blast off saito 2 nites ago.

I think the rockies are legitimately hot and playing well...i think the padres r getting lucky. peavy may pitch well....but i think the padres offensive woes shall return

Morales has a live arm but has poor control. He jumped over triple A this year and imo he's not ready for this level.

I know Colorado is playing well but this is a pitching mismatch.
