Karl Garretts free pick.

The G-Man knows when he sees a defeated team, and after losing all 4 games in Colorado, 5 in a row overall, the LA Dodgers are one defeated team!

Sure LA has won 5 of 6 at Arizona this year, but they come to town a beaten down bunch that has little chance now of sneaking into the postseason unless they get a miracle.

Don't count on it happening, as Arizona is 48-30 at home this year, and starter Livan Hernandez is 6-3 at Chase Field this season.

Esteban Loaiza has allowed 9 runs over his last 8 innings, and is 0-2 over his last 2 trips to the mound. Loaiza just lost to Arizona his last time out, and while Hernandez did lose to Los Angeles his last time out, the G-Man can't go against the first place for now Diamondbacks.

With San Diego having won 7 straight, the D-Backs can ill-afford a slip up in this spot, especially with the Dodgers not officially dead.

Diamondbacks will come through tonight at home against the road-weary Dodgers.

Game: Toronto Blue Jays at New York Yankees Sep 21 2007 7:05PM

Prediction: under

Reason: In Toronto's last 29 road games the under is a profitable 22-5-2. In the Blue Jays last 23 games played on grass the under is 16-5-2. The under is 12-4 in their last 16 road games as an underdog. In Halladay's last 7 starts vs. a team with a winning record the under is 5-1-1. In Halladay's last 11 starts as a road dog the under is 9-2. The under is 7-2 in Halladay's last 9 starts. The under is 6-2 in NY's last 8 games played on Friday's. In Wang's last 22 home starts vs. a team with a winning record the under is 15-7. In the last 30 meetings between the clubs in New York the under is a money making 21-7-2. The teams have played under the total in 10 of the last 14 meetings. Play the Under.

BIG AL's 100% (14-0) FRIDAY NIGHT WINNER

TULSA

At 8 pm, our selection is on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane plus the points over Oklahoma, as we will fade the Sooners, who have started the year 3-0, SU and ATS. However, now they're favored by more than three touchdowns over a good Tulsa team, and this is a perfect spot for a letdown game, especially with the Big 12 Schedule starting next week. And, since 1980, favorites priced from -21 to -30 points have only covered 31 of 88 times after three straight ATS wins as a favorite, including 0 of 14 when matched up against a foe off a SU win as an underdog. With Tulsa in off a 55-47 upset win over BYU, the Golden Hurricane fall into our 14-0 angle. Take Tulsa. Good luck, as always, Al McMordie.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

It doesn't help your playoff push to have a starter like Adam Eaton going, but the Phillies are stuck with him. Eaton has a 6.36 ERA for the year and is getting worse, with a 7.47 ERA his last 3 starts. Washington starter Shawn Hill has been very strong, with a 3.01 ERA in 92 innings. Hill has dominated the Phillies this season, with a 1.29 ERA against them, 5 hits in 14 innings, 3 walks and 10 Ks. Play the Nationals!

Tonight we see no reason why we shouldn't take a crack at the underdog Blue Jays who seem to enjoy the role of spoiler these days.
The Blue Jays are fresh off a 3-game sweep of the first place Boston Red Sox, and now they get a chance to knock off the red-hot Yankees.
Toronto has had success against Yankee hurler Chien-Ming Wang this season, as they are 2-0 against him in his 2 starts, and they have scored 11 runs in his 10 innings of work against them.
Roy Halladay is off a win over Baltimore, and he is 1-0 in his 2 starts against the Yanks this season.
Toronto has held their own in the season series with New York, as the Yankees are just 8-6 in the 14 meetings this year.
Hey, New York may very well win this game, but at this price, we have to take a shot on the underdog.
Play on the Jays.

1500♦ OKLAHOMA
This one is sure to be an offensive showdown, but I fully expect to see Oklahoma come out on top in a big way. The Sooners have the best scoring offense in the country, and their defense is equally strong. They have given up an average of less than nine points per game this season. So although the Golden Hurricane of Tulsa has been putting on a show this season, the show stops here with these talented and powerful Sooners. Tulsa’s defense has shown some weakness this season, so I’m siding with Oklahoma to roll right over Tulsa in this in-state contest.

1500♦ PHILADELPHIA w/EATON over Washington w/Hill
The Nationals will lose for the second game in a row to the Phillies tonight. Washington is only 5-13 in their last 18 match-ups as the listed underdog, and with the pitcher they are sending to the mound they don’t have much hope to begin turning that stat around. They are starting Shawn Hill, and the Nats are only 1-10 in his last 11 starts vs. a winning team. The much more talented Phillies will counter with Adam Eaton. The Phillies have won seven of the past ten meetings with the Nationals, so I’m siding with Philadelphia in this one.

Larry Ness' 15* AL Game of the Week

(34-15 since Aug 7 / 117-45 this season!)

MLB's last few weeks can be treacherous but Larry's gone 20-9 over the last 12 days and his season-long "assault on MLB's moneyline" continues with his 15* AL game of the Week. His 15* GOW plays are 34-15 since Aug 7 and a simply superb 117-45 since Opening Day. "The winning continues tonight!!

Play on the LA Angels!
