First of all, I could care less about racing on a bicycle. As I am sure most of you have heard, Landis was stripped of his Tour de France title because of elevated tetosterone levels.

This is a joke right? I mean of all sports, isn't this one where everyone pretty much cheats? How many riders and teams have been banned in years past because of cheating. These guys carry around blood with them to use in the future. You can pretty much bet that the top riders in the past 20 years have been involved of some from of cheating.

LOL

It's the sport where everyone is tested ... it's a sport where you have 22 days of cycling and you get tested 22 times ...

The "joke" is MLB
... where they didn't test, and when they came up with a testing program you got counseling for the first offense ... and they still don't do blood tests.

Put these cyclists on MLB's testing program and NOBODY would get caught.

What are you talking about?

Landis was banned on a urine test for high testosterone levels. This testing is done in MLB.

There is no concensus for a test on HGH in any sport, even the Olympics. They do a blood test in the Olympics but it can only detect abnormalty almost immediately after injection, so it's useless. They just don't have the knowledge yet.

MLB, as do all professional sports need to donate money for scientific research. Even if they implemented a blood test now like cycling it would be worthless.

In the Tour, cyclists are tested EVERY day ... Landis beat EVERY test except one ... 21 out of 22 ... and they have to tell UCI where they are going to be EVERY day during the off-season to ... that is what got Rasmussen in trouble ... he didn't even test positive.

In MLB, it has been reported that a single player is tested MAYBE 5 times a year.

... but I still maintain that if these cyclists had MLB's testing program, you would think cycling was the cleanest sport in the world.

This MLB testing stuff reminds me of the movie, HOT FUZZ ... anyone who has watched it will know what I mean.

If everyone is tested then people who rides bikes are a bunch of dumbasses. Look how many get caught. I think the big thing was EPO. Something to do with re-injecting blood for more oxygen.

But cycling is not clean. That's why the Tour de France has a tarnished image. When people think if this sport they think of cheating.

They're tested everyday when they're on tour, but I see what you're getting at.

It's impractical for you to think that MLB could test everyday though. IMO, it's more important to lobby for them to donate more for scientific research on HGH testing than what they're doing now which is only $450,000 over 3 years to UCLA. Retarded.

WHY?

So players would get caught? I really see no incentive.

Until the fans stay away, they won't do shit.

I would bet that the last "clean" champion was probably Greg Lemond.

Fans will stay with the game if players are caught. Absolutely. There is no incentive to hide things and not test. Many people want to see a clean game.

Floyd got caught, Lance got away with it, Tiger is getting away with it, and Barry is the devil.

Oh, I agree Cincy. They test, but how many are not caught? These teams drive around with pharmacies to supply their riders. I'm sure the competition between the users and testers is an ongoing and neverending battle.

Well, supposedly golf will begin testing. Seriously, even if Tiger got caught, do you think the PGA would give up that cash cow?
