Skybook - Bonus Mistake!

Be careful at skybook on what they tell you will be offered on bonuses. You can NOT trust their word. I called up 45 mins ago and spoke to a clerk - they told me if I deposit $1,800 that I would receive a 15% cash and 15% Bonus Play. I asked the guy 3 times to confirm and asked him to note my account.

He told me dont worry its noted and when you call in the deposit that is what you will get.

I go to my local moneygram and send in the $1,800. I call the deposit in and they tell me they made a mistake and are truly sorry. I asked them to honor the request as I sent in that large of an amount for the larger bonus. They said there is nothing they can do. They credited me with 10% cash and 10% Bonus Play.

I personally think this is unacceptable. I am not a bonus whore - skybook knows that. You cant even trust their word. I hope I can trust that I will get paid my money if I can somehow manage to win.

I am sure Wilheim or some mod here will go ahead and delete this post or change the name of the topic b/c they are a sponsor and can do no wrong since this board is censored, but I am hoping a few posters see this before that happens so they can know what to expect.

You're in the right place to get it fixed with Skybook. They were always great to me.

i expect if it can be verified by skybook that you were told this that they will in fact credit your account, i also expect there are better ways to handle this within this forum. i hope you start a thread stating it has been corrected when it's done.

teazeman - I did try to fix this with skybook - they told me there was NOTHING they could do. That is why I took it to the forum. If they honored their word or did something about it, then it wouldnt go to the forum. In fact, I told him I was going to post it at the rx and all they could say is that they were sorry. So here I am...

ok

two possible ways to handle this

1. email Wil, his email addy is listed EVERYWHERE

2. start a thread talking shit about one of the more dedicated and honest sportsbooks the forum's have ever seen. they've done more for this place than almost anyone, and no i don't play there.

figure it out.

teazeman - they told me there is NOTHING they can do so I didnt think Wil could help. I posted this to let other posters know.

I also didnt think stating facts about a situation is talking shit but I guess it is each own's interpretation...

Please include your real name, Skybook account number and Rx. poster name.

For the record Skybook does not intentially lie, could the CSD clerk not understand the bonus structure - yes, but no way he is delbrately going to lie and expect to get away with it.

I am sure we can make this right.

Thank you, wilheim.

Well when skybook more of their plasma TV contests, then I will have to reup with them. I am still waiting for that to happen.

Skybook you know that I will lose more than the cost of the TV each week. You will be able to pay for the ATV easliy each week. Just make the contests for active customers who bet more than $250 a week or so. I would think that we could get at least 50 people here who will deposit and give that much action.

This post just reminded me that I havent looked at my skybook account in over 6 months! I need to check it to see if I have any cash in that account

why does everything have to happen behind the scenes, teazeman?

what good is a public forum if everything is censored or handled behind close doors?

90% of the betting public is not on the forums, why keep the 10% that are here uninformed?

Skybook resolving this will only help their business, and it also keeps players aware.

These minor problems are the result of human error. In this case the clerk got the bonus amount wrong and said 15% when he should of said 10%. No one is trying to cheat, lie or rob this poster. I am certain if BCEAGLE1996 calls Mike at Skybook he will get the 15% as a courtesy because Skybook realises their clerk made an error and they will honor his statement despite the promotion being only a 10% one.

Human beings are not perfect and these things happen in all areas of life including offshore gambling.

I have emailed BCEAGLE1996 and Mike Hertz from Skybook has posted in this thread and asked him to call. There is not a lot more we can do than that to try to make up for the mistake.

I post almost daily for everyone who reads this site that if they have a problem at an Rx.com sponser that they should email me at wilheim@therx.com Back-up person19481950@yahoo.com and I will assist them immediately.

Also sticky at the top of the Newbies forum is a list of all of the Rx.com moderator email addresses and a message to feel free to contact anyone of them if you need help. No one is uniformed about getting help here at The Rx.com.

I think this is what Teazeman is talking about and if you ask me it is unfair to post something like that when the moderators at this forum do all they can day in and day out to help players when problems arise. Nobody even cares if you say thank you. Apparently BCEAGLE1996 has his mind made up that we will not assist him. All I can say is to each his own.

agree Wil, i think there reputation is well earned and they wouldn't risk the bullshit for what amounts to a couple hundred dollars. i'm sorry for those that think every dispute should be made public but maybe i'm old school, i think the results will be the same regardless of this thread, only the book will suffer from these unwarranted post.

I just got off the phone with Mike and Skybook has corrected the mistake.

They explained to me again why the error happened. I wish that when I asked what they could do originally that the rep would have brought a manager on but they told me there was nothing that can be done. That would have saved everyone time and energy.

But in any event, they did agree to honor their word and they are adjusting the account based on the original offer explained to me earlier this am.
