Not bad for a slugging righthanded batter, who has slightly above average speed at this point.

He's hitting .358 now, up four points after a 4-for-5 night in the Tigers' 7-4 loss Saturday to Kansas City. Seattle's Ichiro Suzuki remains second, but with a week to go he's seven points behind, at .351.

Ichiro, the two time batting champ has a career average of .333, Ordonez is a career .311 hitter.
