Why are the Angels a dog against the rookie pitcher?

Is the Santana road curse really that potent that they put a texas rookie as a -140 favorite? Scioscia said his team is still going to compete hard this week so they can solidify the postseason lineups and rotation, so it boggles the mind that they go into arlington as such a big dog. Thoughts?

exactly, which makes you scratch your head even more on why they are the dog here.

when they go to texas and get spanked, then you will know why the line was where it was and why they're the dog. They dont make mistakes like that on purpose, angels are a trap play here. Play texas or dont play it!

Santana gave up 5 1st time out against this team...Texas 1st 5 might be a solid play here...

I don't believe in conspiracy theories, but I do believe in fundamental capping. If the Angels win, what will be your reasoning with the "trap" talk?

hey man,

I dont care either way who wins-loses in that game. I agree with you. The angels have alot to play for and the line makes no sense. It seems to me there will be a boatload on the angels tonight.

I just dont think they 'missed' this and it isnt a screwup. Just my opinion. Anything can happen. This is random, like the stock market, anything can and will happen at any given moment.

Best of luck to you tonight on whatever play you make.

PS
I dont encourage any tout ( do your own research since you bet with your own money) or pay for any tout. I go with the hot hand and when they make me money, I go with them even more. Most touts are scammers for sure. I like a select few. Lovell, sebastian, mike jacobs and up until yesterday ROOT and KELSO made me money this year.

We both know the angels are the better team and have more to play for. Why are they then the dog at lowly texas? To me, it seems way to easy. Now watch the angels win by 5 tonight!

Best of luck to you.

good luck to you as well. Bookies want you to overthink but I agree that they know what they're doing when a line like this is released. The only thing left to the puzzle is what the lineups will be tonight.

Angels clinched their division yesterday. Suspect that partied a little plus good chance Vlad and a couple others are going to get the day off. Santana might be due to get rocked. At least that is what I think is going on with this line.

happens every yr, the oddsmakers adjust if a team clinches the previous game. supposed to bet agnst the team that clinched. some of them win, some lose.

no 'trap' involved.
when you see the angels lineup later, youll understand why theyre dogs. every main starter will get the day off. is betting against the team who clinched the night before foolproof? not entirely. but more often than not, these teams come out and play like shit because their lineups are triple-A level. yes, angels are playing for home field. but its customary to give the starters one day off regardless before starting to tune up for the postseason and playing to win again.

just pay close attn to the lineup when it comes out, the best record angle could be something to keep LAA players in there...they do have several banged up key players who they may want to sit though, Figgins, Vladdy, Matthews

Angels have a nice diverse lineup out there.

figgins, cabrera, kotchman, morales, matthews, rivera, izturis, kendrick, and napoli.

Texas is far from a lock to win with 4 hitters hitting under .250 in the lineup.

kinsler, laird, young, byrd, blalock, botts, cruz. saltamacchia, metcalf

good luck, I think it's worth a shot they seem to be easily a 50/50 tonight IMO....Texas is 3-7 L10 too.

guys, lets not forget the most obvious reason. the line is where it is because the angels just made the playoffs. they can relax finally. this isnt to say they will surely win, or surely lose. but the line is correct.
