I am happy using offshore, but I was just wondering if there are any setups like this:

You place bets through a person who bets the game in Vegas? I would think this would be totally legal?

Am I wrong?

The Closer

Sure it exists as you put it. The problem is you are still breaking the law if you live outside the state of Nevada and transmit your bets by phone, email, US mail etc. to someone inside the state of Nevada to place them for you.

Actually your idea is nothing new and has been going on for decades. There are lots of inherent problems such as how do you transfer money back and fourth. Where does the money come from to pay the person in Nevada, sitting in sportsbooks and betting for other people is not like being on vacation.

Lines, say you wanted Dallas plus 3.5 last night but it was all gone by the time your "rep" tried to make your bet - then what?

Bottom line unless you have a very good and extremely trustworthy friend who is going to be making some plays of his own in Las Vegas week in and week out then the concept is not really very feasable.

Vegas isn't that great, you'd be better off having a connection in Canada that can use Pinny.
