Was down at local blockbuster looking for a flick and saw this lady with a dvd in her hand and putting it in side pocket of her cargo shorts. I then keep my eye on her and i kept hearing a "popping" sound. She was terrible at concealing what she was doing. I wanted to confront her trash ass but didn't. She left the store and I then went to see if my thoughts were correct. She was opening up the case at top and getting dvd out and then putting the damaged cases behind a regular dvd to hide the case. She was taking tv shows like weeds and something else. Next thing i know, she's back in the store at it again. At this point i leave and tell the girl at the counter. I hope that slimy bitch got caught but i doubt it. She had an accomplice up front asking all these questions at the counter. He had a mohawk and looked like another real winner in our society. As I type this a great idea comes to mind...i should've walked to aisle across from her and pulled my camera out and shot her face...see what kind of reaction that would've got. I hate scum on our planet...they will meet their maker though.

I don't know why this angers you so much.

Hate to see what happens if you see a kid stealing penny candies.

I think stealing dvd movies is a bit higher in cost than penny candies.

This happens 24/7 somewhere, and it barely makes a dent in the amount of money movies bring in by being sold on DVD, similar for TV shows. Don't get me wrong, I don't condone stealing, I just don't think that someone down on their luck taking a DVD or two from Blockbuster (major franchise, not Mom & Pops store) is going to hurt companies too much.

I was exaggerating, just think vikings is working himself up too much over something minor.

I could care less if I saw someone stealing dvd's. I certainly wouldn't rat them out.

She probably got outta there with a couple hundred worth of dvds. Dvds that I will end up paying for when i rent mine for their inflated price to cover the costs.

Gee, if you get this worked up over someone stealing DVD's I'd love to hear your rant on our president and all that he has done.

Stealing affects everyone. Businesses raise the costs of goods sold to cover their losses to thieves.

Well now if the person took the movies to profit off of (most likely, if she took a few hundred dollars worth of movies), then that is a situation where I would probably tip off the establishment. If it were just someone down on their luck taking one or two DVD's, then I wouldn't make anything of it and keep going on with my business.

I can definitely see where you were coming from.

I would have said it loud enough so everyone in the store knew she was a thief.

I forgot about him....he created hurricane Katrina and sent it at our gulf coast and told all those people that live next to an ocean not to buy flood insurance.

These businesses would raise the cost regardless. A person stealing a few DVD's does not matter to major establishments such as Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, etc. Now if the Mom & Pop stores were being stolen from, then your damn right they would raise prices dramatically. Thing is, that doesn't work on any kind of basis which is the main reason why you see these huge franchises taking over and buying out Mom & Pop stores everywhere.

Unh. Instead of being Mr.Comedian with conspiracy jokes why not look at things that actually took place.

A person stealing a few dvd's doesn't matter? Sure, if it's just a couple of people. I'm sure she isn't th eonly one stealing from them. And yes, it affects all stores.
