I never thought Young would be a viable NFL QB until his Senior year in college. I still had my questions due to his below average passing ability, however, I was no longer convinced he wouldn't be a decent QB. He is a winner and just gets the job done. However, to get beyond simply winning regular season games, he has to improve his passing game and probably greatly improve it.
People said all of the same things about Vick (at one point I think he had the highest career winning percentage in the league) that you are all now saying about Young, "he just wins", "he is a winner", "definently a year away from being a top 5 QB", "Who cares about statistics", "Again with the "worst passer in the league" comment. Who really cares as long as you win. I would rather having a qb who wins than completes the most passes anytime." and what happened? His passing never improved (in fact, it got worse) and he stopped winning and reached his ceiling as a 9-7 regular season QB who couldn't get past a decent defense in the playoffs.
Not saying Young can't or won't improve his passing, but unless he does, his ceiling will be that same 9-7, 10-6 regular season with no more than 1 playoff win in any given year. Good defenses will do enough to control his running sufficiently to pull out playoff games.
