#2 Penn st LOADED with pro's and undefeated At Illinois, who also had their share of pro's on D.

Unreal game, i was working the stadium that day in college, on the field, north end zone, never will forget it, and this is the 1st time i am seeing it since that day!

The drive at the end by Penn st was one for the ages.

Yes this team was loaded, I remember them throttling OSU that year, and this was the game they struggled in....they ripped a lot of teams apart that yr.

I was at that game, and it was the most heartbreaking loss ever. Up 21-0 with 6 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter, and a first down inside Penn St territory. Next thing I knew, it was 21-14. We just couldn't hold them off long enough. Who was the QB for Illinois? It was just before Johnnie Johnson, right? Just can't think of who it was.

it was Johnny Johnson, and he blew bad in that game, missed all kinds of wide open recievers. Kinda like Juice Williams...If not for Ty Douthard and over 200 yrds, by far the best game of his life, the game wouldn't have been that close.

Oregon Ducks and Danny Oneil covered the spread in the Rosebowl, +18.5 and losing by 18 that year.

I have every game from 1994 recorded on VHS (I need to transfer to DVD!) including that one. That game scared the living daylights out of me. I remember how good those LB's were for Illinois. We needed everything to go right to win that one on the road.

Now the Indiana game...that's another story entirely :finger: :finger: :finger: .

Stupid pollsters...we would've beaten Nebraska!

wow, can i get a copy of it on DVD?? That would be cool to have the whole thing and not the abridged version the BTN showed. I thought Penn St should have at least shared the #1 that year, their D was nothing special, but the O was just perfect. Kyle Brady looked like he was twice as big as anyone else on the field, and Ki-Jana Carter played like the future #1 pick he was. Kerry Collins had as good a year statistically as anyone ever has too!

Who the hell won the Heisman in 94?? It could/should have been Collins.

Ahh Rashaan Salaam...mr Marijuana LOL BAD choice

nice blurb on the 94 Penn St team

1994 Penn St - Wait a minute Snake, you say, they didn't even win the National Title that year. I say BS, I gave them the title that year. They were robbed due to the sportswriters trying to be nice to Tom Osbourne. Without a doubt, Penn St was the best team that year. All 5 of PSUs starting O line played in the NFL, 2 of them still playing today. They also only allowed 4 sacks all year. The team also featured Kerry Collins, Ki-Jana Carter (7.9 yds per carry!!), Bobby Engram, and Kyle Brady. If JoePa wasn't the ultimate sportsman, and didn't refuse to run up the score just to look good in the polls, they could have beaten everone they played by 50 or more points.

That Penn St offense was the best college offense we will ever see. Their defense was average, but I still think they were a ton better than Nebraska.

I really thought we were going to win that game, though. But when you go 93 yards on 7 for 7 passing to score on the nation's best defense, I guess you deserve to win.

If I can get it over to DVD I'll see about getting you a copy of it. If it wasn't for two meaningless bombs by the Hoosiers after the game was decided we would've been Nat'l Champs IMO.
