1, 2004 Conejo Valley Little Leauge Thousand Oaks, Ca

Had won the 10's in 2002, then added Johnny Lister and Cody Thompson. As my buddy KB says "Whats Up"

2. 2002 USC Trojans

Went 10-2 crushed Iowa in the Rosebowl. Heisman winner Palmer distributing the ball to Keary Colbeart and Huggy Bear. Heat seeking missle Palamulu on defense. "Whats up"

3. 1973 Oakland Athletics

Bando, Tennace, Joe Rudi, Reggie. Charlie O team was awesome and swept folks.

4. 1993 Florida State Seminoles

Charlie Wards team most was a machine, NFL was robbed of a great qb when Charlie went for hoops.

5. 1991 UNLV Rebels hoops

Better than the 90 team that won the championship. Augmon and LJ tanked the Final 4 game for Richard Perry.

6. 2006 European Ryder Cup Team

Captain Langer led the onslaught over the cocky american side.

7. 1987 UNLV Running Rebels

Arman Hammer, Paddio, JArvis Basnight, Downtown Freddy Banks and Mark Assist on the Wade were the starting 5. They were off the charts for the regular season before being upended by a disciplined Bobby Knight team.

8. 1997 Calgary Stampeders
9. 1984 Boston Celtics

Danny Ainge and ML Carr Led the way, and Cornbread Maxwell finshed off the Lakers in game 7 that year.

10. 1981 Edison Chragers

Beat high school football team I ever saw, they beat Redlands in the Finals that year 55-0. Bryce Malavasi, Kerwin Bell, Vic Rakshani and Frank Seuer led the way.

Couldnt agree more with this right here.

I would probably have them in my top 3. I have never seen a team more deep and talented than this. That foul on Anthony that got him fouled out was total BS. Should have been 2+1 for UNLV, but instead changes the entire scope of the game.

Travis Bice the loose wristed 3 ball shooter was a walk on, that nobody wanted when he was in high school. What a shot this kid had.

I give him props for mentioning that 1987 UNLV team, they were very very good as was Oklahoma, but Danny Manning got the ring that year, putting Kansas back on the CBB hoops map.

I dont remember that team Journey

But "Downtown Freddy Banks" sounds like the name of a purple suited pimp who has gold front teeth and an orange feather in his hat.

If that's your 10 best then you really should go to more sporting events.

or a ripoff of the great long range NBA bomber Downtown Freddie Brown...of course this team is not even top ten CBB teams of the past 40 years but it was a nice mention.

Seriously it would be very difficult to put ten teams together and not leave out 30 over the past 35 years.

All lists must start with the 70's Steelers IMO. 49ers real close behind, lates 90s Yankees, early 70's Orioles, Lakers of the 80's, Bulls early to mid 90s, Edmonton, the Islanders, Canadians, the Swingin A's would be hard to leave them off even though they were not great offensively, 3 WS. Celtics, then the college hoops teams, obscure sports IOWA wrestling, volleyball, not so amateur Hockey etc...it would be difficult.

No doubt the '98 Yankees would make that list.

I might be on the other side of the rivalry but game recognize game

.

No mention of Bird who was the MVP of the league that year (I think) and best player?

Also 86 Celts were better than 84 with Walton.

THanks for the Vote though. Really close regardless and glad to see you are not biased....
