Complimentary Selection WEDNESDAY'S PLAY

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p>

I'm on a 10-5-1 run with my last 16 overall Bonus Plays with the Rockies pending last night.

Take the Blue Jays on the run line tonight on the road over the Orioles.

Roy Halladay will start for Toronto and he's finishing up the season on a strong run. The right-hander is 1-0 with a 1.85 ERA over his last three starts.

Halladay has 15 wins on the year, but in reality should have about 20, as the Blue Jays have squandered some great starts by him, including his last outing against the Yankees when they blew a four-run lead in the bottom of the ninth before winning in extra innings.

Toronto has been playing well lately though, going 6-2 over their last eight games.

I can't think of a better spot for them on the run line than tonight, going against a Baltimore team that has gone in the tank and who will start the washed-up Victor Zambrano.

I'm not even sure that's an accurate statement, because to be washed-up you have to have been something at one point or another.

Zambrano hasn't, and he brings an 0-2 record with a 6.41 ERA into tonight's game. He hasn't won a major league game since April 2006 while pitching for the Mets.

Halladay has been money against the O's in his career, going 15-4 with a 2.79 ERA in 21 games.

Take Toronto on the run line as they win this one handily over Baltimore.

Today's Complimentary Selection The Braves are certainly sticking around to the bitter end, and the G-Man will back them tonight against Kyle Lohse and the Phillies.

Lohse hasn't done much down the stretch for Philadelphia, as he has allowed 12 runs his last 13 innings of work for 3 straight September no decisions. He did hold Atlanta in check at the start of September, working 7 innings of 2 run ball in the win, but I don't think he has another start like that in him tonight.

Atlanta's win last night makes it 5 of 7 in the Braves favor at Philly this year, and starter Tim Hudson has gone 8-3 on the road this year.

The Braves are riding some serious momentum, as they have won 3 in a row, and 7 of their last 8. I say ride them again tonight as they keep the pressure on in both the NL East, and the wild card.

Tomahawk Chop in a big way tonight as Atlanta keeps their hopes alive!

2♦ NATIONALS

How New York can be laying this kind of number the way it has been playing, not to mention with a rookie pitcher on the bump, is beyond me. After last night’s 10-9 loss the Nationals, the Mets have now lost eight of their last 12, including three of four to Washington. If not for the fact the Phillies have stumbled lately, New York’s postseason hopes would be on life support. But it’s not just that the Mets are losing, it’s that they’re playing horrible baseball, particularly on the mound. They’ve given up 48 runs during their 1-4 slump against Washington, inlcuding 23 runs in the first two games of this series. Moreover, they’ve allowed six runs or more seven times in their last nine contests. And even before last night’s debacle, New York’s bullpen had posted a 7.11 ERA in its previous 10 games. And now they’re handing the ball to some kid named Phillip Humber, who has as many major-league starts as you and me combined! In fact, the righthander has pitched just three innings of relief with the Mets, yet here he is starting the biggest game of the Mets’ season against an offense that’s tearing the cover off the baseball.. Talk about throwing someone to the wolves. Now granted, Washington starter Mike Bacsik – a.k.a. the guy who gave up Bonds’ historic HR #756 – has been putrid of late. But he’s got a live arm, as the Mets well know, as Bacsik beat them 6-2 back on July 27 at Shea Stadium. Also, Washington is 6-3 in the southpaw’s last nine starts. Add it all up, and the pesky Nationals, who seem to be relishing this spoiler thing, offer incredible value here.

HONDO

September 26, 2007 -- Hondo barked up the right tree with his 'dog show last night as he scored with the Braves and survived with the Nats and saw his earnings skyrocket to 235 torgesons.

Tonight, it's Blanton and the A's in Boston, and, if that clicks, Peavy and the Pods in San Fran. Ten units apiece.

Ai Simulator 3* graded play on Baltimore - Despite losing a 5* MONSTER play on SF, the complete Tuesday card made $5777 wagering just *100 per * unit play. Atlanta was a +113 3* winner over Philadelphia, 3* Colorado won in upset fashion installed as a +120 dog , and 3* Florida kept the Cubs at bay for at least another day with their win installed as a +126 dog. Plus, the DOUBLE DOG MAJOR card was Florida and Colorado, so if you parlayed them together you really had a great night. Through this daily grind my complete MLB selections, including the 3* Member plays, you would have made $8770 wagering just $100 per * unit play. Supporting this graded play is a system that has gone 42-30 and has made +49.1 units since 1997. Play against all favorites with a money line of -175 to -250 starting a pitcher who gave up <=1 earned runs in his last 2 outings and is now facing an opponent with a cold starting pitcher sporting an ERA >= 7.50 over his last 3 starts. Roy Halladay gets to make his final start of the 2007 season. He is 15-4 with a 2.79 ERA in 25 career games, including 21 starts versus Baltimore, the only club he's defeated more than 11 times. I mention this only as an example that sometimes the MLB selection can be quite contrarian and in not other sport can you accurately state that anything can and will happen. Upon further review, the right-hander, though, is 0-5 despite a 3.56 ERA over nine road starts since June 30, as he's received an average of just 2.90 runs from his offense. Pitching at New York on Friday, he took a shutout into the ninth but wound up coming one out short of a complete game and allowing four runs, only one of them earned. The Blue Jays won the contest 5-4 in 14.Baltimores bullpen has not been and is certainly struggling right now as well. TORONTO is 10-16 (-11.7 Units) against the money line vs. a terrible bullpen whose ERA is 5.50 or worse over the last 2 seasons. Take the Orioles.

Chicago starter Jon Garland has dominated the Royals at home going 7-1 his last 8 team starts against them in the Windy City. Kansas City starter Zach Greinke has more walks than starikeouts in his last 3 road starts. The Royals have scored 4 or less runs in 8 of their last 10 games. Play On Chicago - (Garland vs. Greinke)

Blanton, away from home, in Fenway? No, thanks. Better to go with the idea of Matt Washed-Up Morris against Livan Hernandez' incredible shrinking fastball. Opposing batters are hitting .308 against Morris and Livan, like that phony-baloney Glavine last night, has 41 fewer strikeouts vs. last season, in as many innings. More contact? More hits due.
