#1.] Cancel out the revenge factor. It will be there for sure, but so will the loss at home by USF in 2005. The full, home house, will be protected. Forget the erroneous reports of WVU travellers representing 50% of the crowd. They will be there in force no doubt, but not in those kind of numbers. This is the EVENT in Florida this weekend and South Florida is the buzz everywhere in central Florida right now. Game has sold out Ray J. First time in school history. The top ten beckons. Motivation enough.

#2.] Why South Florida has before and can again slow down the WVU offense. SPEED, SPEED, more SPEED and excellent PURSUIT on the D. That is the only ingredient which can slow up WVU. Best cornerbacks in college football bar none will allow for more men in the box. Corners can hold their own with anybody. So don't worry about the secondary and watch out for Selvie and Moffitt.

#3.] Finally Grothe and company will score a bit themselves. WVU are not defensive world beaters.

#4.] Leavitt will not allow any quit. Even if they lose, I would be surprised if they don't use the back door to cover.

#5.] Finally, it helps me that I found the hook earlier this week.

You will be proven wrong in about 32 hours. You will also see plenty of blue and gold in the stands, not 50% but likely 40%

Anyone else in Tampa area going to the game?

I'm meeting some from my old crew down there, driving in from Orlando. Fucking hate that, I-4 on a Friday I'll be tearing my eyeballs apart.

Steve Slaton's rushing average per carry

vs. USF 2.8 yards
vs. everyone else 6.6 yards

THAT's why USF will win and cover.

RJ is going to be ridiculously insane.

I don't think poster WVU has quite caught on to that yet.

BTW, that's no comment on who I think will win the game. WVU thinks 40%, I say no more than 25% and quiet.

My lean on the game was/is a WVU cover, but I'll probably just put a very small action bet on USF ML as I'll be with a USF alumni crowd and it will be more fun.

I am well aware. I was there 2 years ago. Does USF have football alumni? NO. Just wait and see. It will be a rocking full house, but WV fans will be there in force as well. The caravan is already making its way to Tampa. WV brings a lot of cash to this city for this game as well. It is great for the Tampa area as the Hotels and restaurants will all be blue and gold crowded

Frenzy expected Friday at South Florida
Dick Vitale
SPECIAL TO ESPN.COM

I am a big college football fan. There is more than just college basketball to enjoy and I love attending games. I cannot wait for Friday night as I will be attending a battle of ranked teams -- West Virginia at South Florida.
That's right, the Bulls are ranked! Raymond James Stadium will be rocking and rolling with a record crowd for a South Florida home game. The atmosphere should be electric.
The South Florida success story is truly amazing. The program has had just one coach, and Jim Leavitt may be the best coach people across America have not heard of. He started football from scratch with the inaugural season in 1997 to I-A status in 2001, Conference USA in 2003 and now the Big East and BCS football in 2005.
Leavitt's program has made noise over the years. The upsets at Pittsburgh (2001), over Louisville (2005), at West Virginia (2006) and Auburn (this season) have proven that South Florida is for real.
My friends, there is so much talent produced out of the Florida scholastic scene, so Bulls fans should not be surprised with the success of the program. Friday night will be a good test of how far this team has progressed.
West Virginia deserves to be a contender for the national championship. Pat White and Steve Slaton may provide the toughest offensive one-two punch in America. Noel Devine has stepped up and contributed as well.
South Florida has an unsung quarterback in Matt Grothe. The sophomore from Lakeland, Fla., can run and pass. Last year in Morgantown, he completed 21-of-29 passes for 270 yards. He threw one touchdown pass and ran for another in a 24-19 stunner.
This should be excitement galore. I can't wait for this showdown!

FNL, we're not going live to the game after all since we've waited too long to buy decent seats at decent price.

Will be watching with hearty crowd at local sportsbar. Let me know if you're going to be in town and seeking venue.

One of my buddies is a grad student at USF and I'm trying to desperately get a ticket from him. No such luck at this point, so I'll probably just head to a local bar for the game. And yes, I-4 on a Friday is fucking miserable. 6-7 times a year I travel down from Orlando to Tampa on Friday afternoons for Tampa Bay Storm games, and yes, you may as well pry your eyeballs out. Depending on where you're coming from, it may be easier to hop on the Greenway and just avoid that whole friggin' mess until you reach the Disney area. I live in Casselberry with a Greenway exit literally less than 5 minutes from my doorstep, so that's what I always do. Keeps the "eyeball popping" to a minimum.

If South Florida wins this game I will change my avatar to a Bulls avatar as hard as that will be. I will also shut my big trap about how the Mountaineers will go undefeated and be in the championship game which will be even harder for me to do

I have a side bet with a buddy that WVU will cover at least 11 games this season, so I hope they cover, but I think USF is winning this game. By the way, I'm still unbeaten... This WVU just rapes people generally, but they haven't seen a team this good this year and frankly, might not again until their bowl game if that. Louisville is a paper tiger and I think right now, USF is better than Rutgers is.

It actually would be very odd if you were to still talk of WVU going undefeated if ...WVU loses to South Florida.
