Lost my copy of this a while back and got a new one today at best buy, man what a good album, this along with Sticky Fingers and you have 2 of the finest albums made in the rock n roll era, so basically ever.

Opinions? Arguments?

Sweet Virginia, one awesome sing along song. That song is used in the movie Casino when the guy won't put his shoes on and take his feet off the poker table. a classic scene!!

Just good song after good song and 18 of them!

What sucks is, a ton of my music is on cassette so you forget about these albums over the ones on CD. The music industry should let you trade the cassettes in for $7. They'd still make money.

well i'd say beggar's banqut (1968) thru let it bleed (1969), Sticky Fingers (1971) and Exile on Main st (1972) is probably the best 4 album stretch of ANY single band..

2 finest albums ever?

I put 5 albums from one group above it:
Sgt Peppers
Revolver
White Album
Abbey Road
Rubber Soul

Personally, I can't venerate a band to that level when their lead
singer's voice grates on me like a sick donkey.

Has anyone ever seen Cocksucker Blues??

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cocksucker_Blues

Cocksucker Blues is an unreleased documentary film directed by Robert Frank chronicling The Rolling Stones' North American tour in 1972 in support of their album Exile on Main Street.

The film itself is under a court order which forbids it from being shown unless the director is physically present. This ruling stems from the conflict that arose when the band, which had commissioned the film, decided that its content was inappropriate and didn't want it shown. The director felt otherwise and thus the ruling. However, bootleg copies of the film are available

I can't think of a bad Stones album from the 60's thru the 80's. Those guys could put on a 12 hour concert of greatest hits.

Some anecdotal history of the title "Sticky Fingers". The title originated from the mind of Island Records producer Guy Stevens. He was closely involved with Mott The Hoople and was producing their 4th album in 1971. The album was going to be titled "Sticky Fingers", but eventually Guy and the group settled on another one of his titles, "Brain Capers". When this occurred, Guy Stevens gave the album title the Rolling Stones.
