I don't know why I don't do it in Excel or something but I think writing it down on paper helps out in some way.

I sure wouldn't leave that laying around anywhere , that's for sure. I've seen the IRS take a liitle list of bets and mutiply them by about 1000 and just pull a number out of the air and whoops they say this is the bill.I was on the wrong end of this a few times.:drink:

One of the reasons I do it is for tax purposes. I get my share of tax forms from poker tournaments, video poker jackpots, etc. and I follow the IRS guidelines to a "T". Without proper documentation, they can make up numbers like you say. Following their suggested guidelines, their head would be spinning if they ever audited me.
