They will travel to Ft. Lauderdale to take on another new Div. 1 Florida school with lofty Div. 1 aspirations. They better have come down from their high and be ready.

Howard Scnellenberger is alive and well and quietly building a program with the Florida Atlantic Owls. A few weeks ago they beat MINNESOTA S/U at home for their first signature win. OK MINNESOTA ain't top twenty five material but they're not the Sun Belt either and they just covered against OHIO STATE.

So the Owls are getting 15 and a half Saturday. Looks OK except Leavitt has a history of not running up scores. Just this year in their home opener South Florida beat ELON by only 15 and only lead by seven until 3:09 left to go in the third.

Last year things got down right scary when Grothe completed a TD pass with 2:33 left in the game to beat FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL by 1 point at home. That's not the spread: that's straight up.

The Bulls next 2 after this are against UCF and then RUTGERS. Think twice on this one.hola

Totally agree with you and made a few posts on this same thing in the college football forum in a few threads.

Classic letdown game combined with an out-of-conference sandwich game combined with big public favorite darling of the week versus solid but virtual unknown.

Could spell trouble for the Bulls.

WOW. Everyone wants to tout USF as Florida's best and a well deserving top 10 team. Well every top 10 team and probably most every top 25 team would be a 15 point favorite against FAU. What do you think the "correct" line would be?

edit: oh yeah I almost forgot...go bulls yay

S Flor Would Lose By DD To Florida.

Unfortunately Florida lost at HOME to Auburn and USF won on the ROAD at Auburn.

This certainly doesnt speak well for the Gators in this argrument.

Whoever in the world wants to spin USF as being overrated, the fact is there are only FIVE teams in the entire country currently ranked higher.

By the way, agree with the very talented MR. JONES on this one.........

PREDICTION

USF 33
FA 21

as far as unbeatens go, ohio st and wisc have beaten no one. and as far as auburn goes, we all know that is an argument that never works.
as i've said USF is very good but they don't belong 6th in the country. they are not in the class of the big boys yet.
and agree with your prediction.
big east may turn out to be a horrible conference, only time will tell.
