It's been a while but PBTN returns for what should hopefully be a successful postseason run. Here are the first picks...

Padres ML (-135) *$270 to win $200*
Pads/Rox o9 (-110) *$110 to win $100*

It sucks for the Pads to have to use their ace in a one-game playoff and Game 3 of the NLDS IF they're fortunate enough to make it instead of not having to play a tie-breaker and Peavy starting game 1 vs. the Phils on Wednesday, but this is what happens when you can't close up shop (just ask the Mets). But this is the card they've been dealt and I feel like this guys are way too talented to sit back and watch a young team like the Rockies send them home. Granted the Rox are very talented and have been very successful and surprising this year, but I just don't see any value in Josh Fogg in such a key situation like this. Fogg used to pitch for my beloved White Sox for a short stint and you never heard anything about him being a stud in the making or a big-game pitcher. Of course he was young, but his career numbers at Coors prove that he's nothing special.

- Take the ace with the experience and track record in this huge game.
- I also see value in such a low total at Coors Field, so taking the over as a value bet more than anything. Both these teams RS/RA numbers (team RS + opp RA/2 then /162) average out to 9.2, factor in where they're playing and both these starting pitchers' career ERAs at Coors and you have a game that should hit 11 or more runs.

Hoping for a very good start to our postseason run.
Incase you aren't aware, this game will be on TBS.

Definitely had the total right and felt like we were on the right side moneyline wise TWICE (5-3 lead, Peavy blows it, 8-6 lead, Hoffman blows it), but two of the most reliable pitchers in baseball let the extremely confident Rockies comeback and tie it twice and then eventually win it.
Tough loss, but I still feel like we were on the right side.

Be back Wednesday w/ more.
