normally the team who wins the play-in game is often at a disadvantage because they have to burn their #1 starter/ace just to get into the playoffs. it screws up their rotation and they often cant recover.
but in colorado's case, they really dont have an ace.
so i guess it depends on how you look at it.
in one sense, having no ace is reason enough to think they stand little chance of making it to the world series.
then again, the fact that they dont have a dominant pitcher doesnt really hurt them because they are more 'flexible' rotation-wise than other teams.
