Right now our tech team is sifting through the admin panel logs to see if there is any truth to this. No mailing list can be generated without first logging in, so it's relatively easy to figure out who did what.
The principle concern of course is your privacy. It's impossible for us to protect our mailing list from absolutely every employee (some of us need access to it) but we have built in some security measures to at least dissuade employees from selling the list. For example, the list is seeded with bogus email addys that we create, once per week. If the list were to be sold, it's a matter of checking to see which seeds got hit, and which didn't, to pinpoint which of the generated mailing lists was sold.
As I write this, I don't know if what JMan says is true (I haven't even read it myself) but please be assured that we are looking into it and will do whatever is necessary to protect our posters' information.
