if holliday was indeed safe, wouldnt he have been a little more jubilant after he ended his slide? he just laid there, imo, knowing that he was out (or at least that he didnt touch the plate). i know he got scraped up, but your emotions at that point (esp. if you won the wild card) would override a shot to the nose or whatever he took.

:aktion033 :nohead:yep. pads and rocks were trying to work on that game-ending play for hours around lunchtime today. its totally scripted.
you should have seen holliday in during the rehearsal this afternoon. he was able to strategically place the ball in between giles and the wall (with just 2 feet to work with) 18 out of 20 times. it was amazing. and to think he did it when it was showtime too! my what a thespian.
the time of the bang-bang play at home play was better live than it was in rehearsal this afternoon though. giles kept on one-hopping it to the catcher. nice of him to follow the script and get it there on the fly with the world watching.
