5 units - Phillies -143

I am rooting for the rockies to do something special here in the playoffs, but game 1 just isn't going to be that game. They have been riding a two week high and they reached the top of that on Monday night. I am looking for a small let-down as a very tired team will be visiting a well rested Phillies team.

3 units over 9 +100

Going to keep it simple here. Both of these line-ups are very strong and they'll be combined here in a very good hitters park. 4 runs a piece is very reasonable especially getting +100 here!

fwiw Hamels daytime ERA is a full run more than his night time ERA.

But at the same time the Bank has some fucked up shadows around the 3-4pm time when this game is.

Thanks Roach, much of the reason I added the over here. I definitely see Philly getting to Francis as they have this season in the two games they have faced him. He only lasted 8.1 innings, giving up 20 hits, and 14 earned runs. If the Rockies are going to win tomorrow they are going to have to score more then 5 runs so the over is a bit of an insurance policy on the Phils. I believe both will win, but I don't think I will lose both.

8-4 Phils!

Roach- Being a Philly boy, what's your thoughts on this one.

Kruser...i like the Phillies. But i can't tell if its just cause I'm so pumped that I care about playoff baseball for the 1st time since '93 or since I honestly think the Phillies win. And cause I can't seperate my homerism, i haven't bet the game yet and am not sure if i will.

Keep in mind everyone in the world is talking about how hot the Rockies have been...and rightfully so. But the Phillies managed to go something like 16-5 over their last 20 or so games. Not shabby either. Rollins has been playing like a legit MVP...and down the strech for the last 10 games RyHow seems to have found his groove and was hitting like he was last year...hitting something like 7 dingers in the last 10 games of the season.

Again though...i'm a f'in homer

Will most likely have a play on everygame of the playoffs, so not chasing.

Spaced off posting this. I got 163, but see its 172 now.

4* Red Sox -172

2* Red Sox -1.5 -115

wow,-8 units on the first game is tough.'keep the continue'

Thanks.

Didn't see you in here Monday when I won 6.15 units on the Rockies +123?

Thats what I thought. It's alright though, for I understand that people whom feel poorly about themselves often find joy in other people's losses. I wouldn't have expected for you to come in here and tell me "wow, nice +6.15 units on the Rockies"

Oh, and learn to grade plays - It was - 11.6 units on the early game.

However, if Boston keeps this score 4-0 then I'll still be up money after the game. Thanks though. :103631605

6* Arizona Diamondbacks -125

2* AZ -1.5 +170

The public is betting the cubs tonight, and I'm just not buying it. I don't see any reason to believe that Zambrano is going to break out of his recent skid. Z gets very pumped up and I think he may be a little too pumped tonight when he takes the mound which is going to lead to walks and D-back runs. Webb is 4-1 against the Cubs with a career 2.53 era in 7 games and has an even more impressive home record against them going 2-0 while posting a 1.76 era. Big Z has seemed to regain his old self heading into the playoffs here, but lets not forget what he did just before that. He lost 5 straight starts while posting a 9.42 ERA. Betting on Zambrano is like betting on Mike Matasow - You just aren't sure if he is going to get pissed and blow up and I feel it is even more likely to happen to Zambrano in a playoff situation. I believe the Cubs will make this a series against AZ, but game 1 goes to the D-backs.

5-3 Arizona!!

Wasn't trying to be defensive, but was just wondering what you thought was being gained by coming in and say "wow, -8 units on the 1st game" - Just seemed like you were coming in to throw it in my face. Thats all.

Cool Slick, was very close to pulling the trigger on the over but these two offenses can be pretty bad at times. Really just banking on Webb to totally shut down the Cubs in the pitcher's ball park.

Will definitely look at that Philly over. Three homeruns today already, ALL SOLO SHOTS! Add the Phillies top 4 going 0-4 with 9 K's and the over never stood a chance. I will probably play that over with ya tomorrow for sure. Good luck to us tonight!

Yea, when I wrote it I had a lot of thoughts going through my mind for the game. I was thinking about the skid where he had a 9+ era in 5 games or so and then I went back to the recent success. The paragraph was a very contradictive, but in the end I just wanted to get across that I was betting the D-backs!
