I like hockey but you know the baseball game and ESPN programing will do a higher rating number tonight then the NHL.

Food Network programing even pulled better numbers a few times last year against the NHL in the same time slot.

Only problem is - and you got it right the guys running the show have no clue...

opening in London? - If you go to europe go somewhere where they get hockey - Sweden, Germany, Finland or heck even switzerland!

opening on the night of PO baseball? - dumb dumb

Hockey is probably my favorite sport to watch. I've been waiting for months to watch the Hurricanes' first game. I sat down, turned on Center Ice tonight, and was greeted by a bunch of French nonsense. Great move by the Center Ice people to show the Montreal broadcast.

I never really paid much attention to hockey in the past, but I watched the playoffs last year. Something about it has got me hooked like I am to many other sports. Plus, it looks like an awesome event to attend live.

I'm going to try to make it up to Vancouver sometime this year to watch the Canucks when they are playing a Canadian team. That's when the heat really get's turned on!

Gary Bettman Ruined the Sport.. Its a ***** league now that caters to the Europeans.. Bring back the old rules and The enforcers and I will watch again.. Until then it will be beat out by woman's volleyball on FSN...

i personally just think it should stay up north and expand in canada. i think the league is a joke right now mainly because of no national tv deal, 7 years 50 million for your top guy is what a average/above average nba guy would get. whenever i watch i see a guy acting like a thug injuring another player with his stick or what not. i personally just don't care about it, wish they never came back but oh well. at least we just got a top 3 though and dont have to hear about it anymore.
