That was true grit getting out of that inning with bases loaded and no outs, espically getting out Mr. clutch Derek Jeter, and then striking out Posada, and finally getting Matusi for the finial out. Sure enough big Mo comes into play and the Indians are pouring it on, I know it's early but these are the kind of things that kills teams and the Yankees look like a beaten team just like the Phillies

nothing like the phillies at all IMO. this may "kill" game one for the yanks but they are some much different then the phils. the yanks are capable of getting right back in it as opposed to the phils......you just know they are done. plus the phils lost 2 at home whereas the yanks are on the road and losing to clevs ace isnt the worst thing to happen to them. steal game two and then back to NY isn't the same as the phils being down 2 and going away for the inevitable.

I hear you it's going to be a tough series probaly going to be 2-2 however, Indians definitly landed a Haymaker to the mighty Yanks, and they are going to have to get off the canvas and fight back big time.

just cant count them out...id rather back them then the phils in this situation.....too much playoff experience on the team to let this shake them. GL

I AGREE LETS JUST GET THROUGH THIS GAME AND SAVE SOME OF THAT RUN SUPPORT FOR CARMONA. THEY BOTH HAVE HAD QUITE A FEW GAMES THIS YEAR WITH NO RUN SUPPORT:dancefool

Unlike Wang who got 7.94 runs a game in his wins. Credit to him for a good year but it has to be a lot easier to pitch when you have a multiple run lead most of the time.

Can't disagree though I'd like to. Since 2000 the Bankees have won every division series in which they lost the first game and lost every division series in which they won the first game. Having said that, I'm still ecstatic the Tribe took game 1.

Kab - 53 yrs old, lifelong Tribe fan still waiting for first title in his lifetime (and first Cleveland championship since 1964 Browns).
