So Zambrano goes a couple more innings on Weds...

Yep...the Cubs bats were rakin' all night long...just roping seeds all over Snakes-Field...

My point is that it would not have made a F'NG difference.

Marmol was solid all year...he had a rough night.

The smarterst thing to say is that Lou should have gone to Wood...the way he has been dealing in the last three weeks is flat out nasty.

cubs are absolutely limp right now. the top of their order is just waving at fastballs. they honestly look like they dont belong in the playoffs. when derek lee looks clueless, you know you are in a world of trouble.

Lou just put out the rotation for the World Series. He's having Zambrano pitched the first game. Lilly the second and then come back with Zambrano in game three.

He's limiting Zambrano to 40 pitches in game one. :smoker2:

It was ridiculous that they were a favorite in this series any way. Thank you Cubs' fans and bettors. Arizona won 90 in toughest division in baseball and has home field: Cubs won 85 in worst division in baseball(and thus easiest schedule). Cubs-140?!!:missingte

I'm not sure D'Back series backers can cash their tickets just yet.

I haven't touched this series. Was leaning D'Backs in one and Cubs in two, but stayed away both times.

Anyhow, coming back from 2-0 happens. It's nothing like 3-0.

Not a bad move by Lou pitching Marmol in the 7th. Marmol has been absolutely filthy all season and I cant blame Lou for trying what he did. I had just as much confidence if not more in Marmol in the 7th as I would have had in Z. Thats how good Marmol has been for the Cubs and if it wasnt for Marmol the Cubs wouldnt be in the playoffs right now. Lou went with what has worked all season and decided to go with Marmol and it just didnt work out. I am more mad about Lou not bunting zambrano with a runner on 2nd and 0 outs but Z does swing a good bat so I guess he just rolled the dice and it didnt work out unfortunately.

Is the series over yet?

No way Cubs bats stay cold in chicago...and all the Dbacks .250 hitters can't keep getting the big hits

This is going 5!!!

DBacks ae the ones that arent supposed to be able to hit. LOL.

I am a beleiver in leaving well enough alone. Z was zoned in. Marmol was great all year ya, but there was no need to go to the pen. He made the move just to rest him to bring him back on Sunday and that was stupid. If he was going to pull him he shouldve with the bases loaded the inning before. Oh well. I still think the Cubs can come back and win this series.
