I have been on a 52-80-4 losing streak (39.39% winning percentage) over 11 separate days since September 16th.

I first mentioned it in this post of my MM thread:

=====
16-Sep-07: 10-14-1
17-Sep-07: 1-1
20-Sep-07: 4-12-1
21-Sep-07: 3-6
24-Sep-07: 6-12-1
25-Sep-07: 3-6

27-51-3 (34.6% winning percentage)
=====
=====
then I whined about it again a couple of days ago during an in-game thread:

30-Sep-07: 7-8-1
1-Oct-07: 1-3
2-Oct-07: 3-5

38-67-4
(36.2% winning percentage)
=====
=====
I finally had a WINNING DAY on October 3rd (since September 15th!!). Yesterday, I started the evening with several straight wins then collected many losses by the end of the night so I didn't have 2 straight days of winning yet.

3-Oct-07: 6-4
4-Oct-07: 8-9

52-80-4 (39.39% winning percentage)
=====

Frustrating. Good thing I have a MM system, because I can't believe how I have *NOT* wiped out any of my 6 books yet.

I arrived home late tonight, and first bet I make is L'ville -14 -110. They spot Utah a 21-0 lead, go figure (yea yea, I see L'ville finally getting a TD right now).

This made me wonder-- what long streaks do any of you recall that really tested your patience & how did you go through those? I'm kinda lucky that I'm just going through "the usual motions" and hoping to get a winning streak going soon.

Streaks are tough and if you play long enough you'll go thru one, no matter how good a handicapper you are. Personally, my longest dry spell was from 2001-2006. :drink:

Keep your head up and don't chase, it'll turn around.

one of my bread and butter casino deals was at Intercasino. Deposit 100 bonus 100 wager 2500. I was doing roughly 125-150 of these deals every month. Time was an issue so I did these by wagering my entire $200 bank on one hand of blackjack. If I won I wagered on and if I lost I moved on to the next deal. Each deal was worth about $88 in expected profits.

During one particular month in May of 2005 I lost on my all or none hand on the first 22 deals. After 50 deals I had lost on 44 of them. My final results on 132 deals that day I had lost 107 of them. So all in all on one hand sessions (not counting pushes) I went 25-107.

Times like these is why I limit myself to $20 bets. If I'm tailing someone it will be higher though. I've just learned that I'm just not good at finding winners on my own.

most i can remember winning was 15 or 16 in a row....

....losses, probably about the same....but a 2-20 feels just as bad as 0-18....losing in bunches is not fun

I enjoyed reading some of the stories in this thread, and seeing many numbers being thrown around in a believable way.

I once lost 18 straight bets
Went 154-217-12 over the first half of May this year.

All interesting to read-- especially onewtheone (383 plays in 2 weeks, that beats Iceman, not the other way around, LOL). Also, shdw01, yeah, it's not the actual mini-streaks in itself but when bunching up over a period of time, it can be a pain in the arse.

Great stories, bulldogboggers.

Thanks to everyone else commenting... QL, yeah, my bets are not even $100 "to win" ($25 as my unit so I haven't made 4+ units yet; highest amount would be 4+ units risked like $105-$110 on 2 plays to win like $90 that I can recall; they split). I already anticipated some kind of losing streak based on experience, but with this detailed tracking, it didn't hit me about this kind of pace.

Though, to comment on what FHM said, I had taken a lot of time off on many important things going on-- that's why I have only made bets on some days only. I have felt refreshed already & was looking forward to getting back on the grind, just finding it funny that I'm doing so through a lousy streak. I intend to play daily from now on no matter if I was up or down.

When I really look at my own numbers, it's only 11 betting days so all of that could have been done over in less than a 2-week period; it just felt longer becuz of all those days I was off, starting more than 3 weeks ago.
