and the score is 1-1, with their lone run coming in a non-contact play. this is a bizarre game. yanks have only hit about 2 or 3 balls to the outfield in the last 6-7 innings. the winner of this game wins the series. way too much riding on this game right now for both teams. a loss here breaks the back of cleveland and galvanizes the yanks.

prod,
i dont think ive ever seen you as down on a cle team as the indians in this series. yea, they didnt put up 12 like last night, even though they had the runners, but what was ny doing? nothing. that can come back to bite you, but even if they lost you would have to say that they did well offensively and the pitching made up for the lack of clutch hitting, unlike nyy.

valid point. im certainly not 'down' on them. but i just think they have proven to be susceptible to cold stretches where the top of the order just fails to get it done with RISP. the recently completed game two was huge imo. had they lost, im not sure cleveland could have felt good about a split. the momentum would have been with new york and im not sure the series would have come back to cleveland as westbrook and byrd scare me in the bronx. obviously sabathia would have prob come back on short rest but thats dicey too. all in all, i think cleveland won the series with that game two win. definitely not writing the yanks off. but that game was a much bigger game 2 than the other 3 games twos (ana/bos, etc)
