I think the Phillies present value here.

Moyer the seasoned pro with postseason experience going against 22yr old Jimenez.

Anyone else have a strong opinion in this one?

Disillusioned Philly backers are almost as funny as disillusioned Yankee backers.

There have not been any in this thread yet but I am sure they will show up.

I think you will see alot of people jump on the "Moyer has the experience" bandwagon, but I think the Rockies will knock him all around the park today and Jiminez will get the job done.

Baseball is a game of momentum....

Phillies have none and the rockies have it all

Hard to back moyer OTR vs the rocks with this record, he is 0-4 with a 5.54 ERA in his career against the Rockies.

You maybe right about value though; But a wise old gambler once told me

"The really defination of Value is only realised if you cash the ticket"

Hey Gyno! I have had an outstanding baseball season happy to say. There is no good reason on earth to step in front of the Rocks.

well Gyno, looks like its me and you against the world. I'm also trying to bet the Cubs but just cant swallow that price (yet). I am feeling squarer every day of these playoffs. that said, I have also made money every day of these playoffs.

Good luck to you

I prefer to state value this way.

There is no value in a losing wager.

there certainly is a good reason...value......

this was supposed to be the closest contended series.......with no clear favorite......im not betting either side because i am clearly biased on phils...

but in a 50/50 game...the side paying +143 is clearly valuable.....

and everyone says momentum over and voer again...both these teams can score 5-6 runs in philly or coors, its all about who gets the lead first in the playoffs this year.....

everyone is saying rockies will win it all...rockies win this series, phillies are done ....etc All this could be true..but the phils are in no different situation then every other team trailing its series....

theya re all 2-0........somebodys got to win a game 3 and make it a series at 2-1.......no reason it cant be the phils vs a rookie pitcher...then again, theres no reason to think the rockies dont hit moyer well.......

its 50/50 and theres value on the dog

I like Moyer to give the Phils a chance in this one, and I'll back Philly at plus money. The only way you play the Rockies, IMO, is on the runline.

Moyer will give you 5-6 innings, then turn things over the Jekyll & Hyde Philly pen. Merriweather will call a fair game. With this ump, I like that Moyer is a junker/nibbler and not a fireballer who usually depends lots of strikeouts.

Jiminez won't go deep, but the Rocks have a more consistent and reliable pen of late. Bottom line is the guy shouldn't be a 150 fav.

I'll play Phi +140 or so -- haven't played it yet, but it will be somewhere around this price. Considering the Over 10.5. Phils have bounced back from adversity all year, and I don't expect them to lie down and go quietly tonight.

guys in the playoffs take the dogs over +110 will pay u good money
dogs already 6-2 in these playoffs indians winning 2,zona winning 2,rookies winning 2, only boston won twice as a fav, so tonight take zona huge dog to close the series with cubs and phillies to stay alive
one is enough to win to bringh u profit !

phils in must win situation....usually = must lose...i tend to agree with colorado sweeping here....however......-125 is more than id lay in this game, let alone -155.....

ill be rooting merely as a fan, as i have zero confidence in side or total here...

Great game last night ******. All the talk about line value don't mean squat when a team has the MOJO like the Rockies these days. Rockies remind me of the last Marlins championship team. Not much to think about going forward with this team. Just jump on their backs and ride them!
