It's hard to imagine if you're not involved in it, but Army/Navy is an intense rivalry--24/7/365. I was stationed at Annapolis in the nineties and it was bigger than anything you could imagine.

Yankees and Sox only in the past few years or so. The Yankees have totally owned the Sox for the last 100 years. Only now do the Sox compete with the Yankees.

Not true. The Red Sox owned the Yankees for more than the
first decade of baseball. Though I'll give the Yankees
most of 1924-2003.
