I know absolutely nothing about it. Tell me how to calculate Tony Romo's points using the box score tonight.

The rules often vary.

But typically it's 1 pt per 50 yards 6 pts for a TD -2 for an INT or a fumble. 1 pt 20 yards rushing.
And probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.

yardage league would be 1 point for every 25 passing, 4 per passing TD, 1 per 10 yards rushing/receiving, 6 per rushing/receiving TD, -2 for INT and fumble.

So, Romo 309/25 (12) + 2 passing TDs (4) - 6 INT/fumble (-12)

Not necessarily true, the team with the fewest guys riding pine b/c they are resting for the playoffs usually wins. We ditched week 17 and it is still a problem. I once blew a 40 point lead in week 2 of the Super Bowl (week 16) b/c I had Harrison and James who both sat.

A group of 8-12 guys get together, live vicariously through NFL players for 4 months, and at the end one wins a meaningless title and acts like he just won the Super Bowl. One big circle jerk.

I honestly know zero about it. It's never appealed to me in the slightest, and I never bothered to learn how it worked.

fantasy footaball works because it gets people involved in the game and watching the sport.
But than again thats why i started betting on games, to make them more interesting.

You could always have the best of both worlds though, bet and do fantasy

Illini- I've bet on football for 10 years. All through college my buddies were always into fantasy football and I laughed at them because I thought it was Mickey Mouse stuff compared to actually betting on games. Then I decided to finally join my friends league 3 years and have been hooked every sense. I only wish I could find a group of 12 guys looking to do a dynasty league.
