Walt Jocketty in as GM...and TLR plus staff in.

Jocketty fired Torre in STL...

I think in the ultimate irony...George hires Walt/Tony.

This would be TLR's last job...and it is the crown jewel.

TLR wants to win right here...right now...no better place than in NY.

Torre has done a pitiful job wityh yanks the last 7 years, his teams play with no fire and he is dumb. I still think he is the worst manager of all times. He should be in WS every year with all those players.

i agree but considering king george is about 10 months away from a drool cup, who knows what could happen

i cant see larussa taking that job. he thinks the media here in st louis is too hard on him cant imagine him putting up with the new york media.

All the times LaRussa had teams in the playoffs (Oakland/CWS and St.Louis) has he won the World Series with any greater frequency then Torre? The answer is NO!

earlier in the season, girardi said that he won't accept the position if it's the result of torre's firing. If they diplomatically handle this where joe resigns on his own terms, then I can see girardi stepping in. Larussa in NY would be a giant mistake.

P.S. Torre is not the idiot who signed Igawa to a $50 million contract.
