Have you guys noticed the low views for the contests your posting? I think the problem may stem from posters being sick of all the stickies constantly at the top of the Offshore.. I may be wrong, but I think people are subconsciously skipping the top of the forum; I know I'm.. Now please don't get me wrong, the contests are a great attribute for this forum and for your sponsors, but I think people are getting numb to the stickies...

Please don't take this the wrong way.

I think poster "cincy" already said something about this, not sure if his thread was answered or not, I agree however.

How would you suggest they get the word out in a better manor?

Maybe 1 single forum for nothing but contest?

CONTESTS
Some Rx. contest threads listed here. Others are run in Offshore Forum..


I understand they post "some contests are posted in the RX Offshore.. Why not have 1 sticky directing poeple to the contests forum at the top of the Offshore?

There is already Forums with the Contests, But it is EXTRA Ad time for some of the Sponsors !

Need to help out the Sponsors !! as they Help Keep this Site Going !!

This is Just a little Extra PR work ! Nothing wrong with having it !

Actually we already condensed the 4 $1,000 parlay contests in 1 thread.

That is why it looks like it has so few replies.

This is a link to the one sticky thread - it includes four separate $1,000 four team parlay contests. The Thread itself is locked so players won't accidently put their parlays in that thread.

Last week BetJamaica had around 165 replies
Betmana around 90
ThePig around 70 (went up a little late and should do better this week).
The LazerWager four teamparlay contest goes this Thursday.

I understand that SS, have you noticed how many views that "contest summary thread has recieved in 3 days? Why must you take such a defensive posture? I'm not trying to make trouble SS, just making suggestions; obviously you don't see it that way...

#1, you have a very valid point-and absotulely hit it on the head about sub-consciously not looking at the stickies. I know for a FACT that I do this. I'm not sure what the fix is, but there is without a doubt something about stickies that makes them really easy to miss.

Right now there is only one sticky thread here in the Offshore Forum but inside it are links to 11 contests.


I don't know what else we can do to make it any easier to find a contest.

it wasnt my intention to take a defensive posture? :think2: (my apologies if that is how it came out)

I was just outlining that there was a contest summarry thread, if it wasnt for that thread we would have 15 stickies at the top of the page,

xpanda is actually creating a landing page for me as well and hopefully we will have that as a contest summary section soon as wekll

I hear what you're saying, Cheater ... but if the contests were only advertised in the Contest segment of the forum, then they would get even fewer views.

The summary thread of the four $1k parlays is also posted in the football forums, with several hundred views apiece.

So, while sticking threads at the top of the forums might not be perfect, not doing so at all would net fewer overall views.

Thanks for listening, I do appreciate the RX'S position. I also appreciate the fact that you guy's do listen and do your best to make this a great place while trying to generate revenue; it's a fine line.
