Practices start tonight for CBB teams around the country, and ESPNU is covering the MIDNIGHT MADNESS

7PM: Davidson
11PM: Georgetown
12AM: Memphis
All times ET

They're also supposed to have Southern Illinois coverage, but I don't see that on the schedule (maybe at 1?)

Georgetown and Memphis will be a couple of the top teams this year, SIU is a favorite to win yet another MVC title, and Davidson is a trendy pick to pull off a surprising season.

I have to go with UNC. Memphis will be a hell of a team, but I just can't see them winning 6 in a row in March after warming up with the C-USA.

Lots of other good candidates this year though...it won't be easy for any team.

luckily mem. will have games against usc, georgetown, gonzaga, tenn, and whoever they get in the preseason tourney. this will give folks an idea of how mem. will be able to handle the big boys in march.

Tatum was their only senior; they return everyone else.
Tatum was also really there key ballhandler and it will be interesting to see how they replace him. Shaw and Falker will have to step it up on the offensive end. I just don't see them being better than last season.

I dont know if Calipari will ever win a title.

Then again, he is still pretty young.

Thanks. Pretty impressive. I love that conference. Tough tough games. Creighton is well coached. How they look?

Creighton's definitely taking a step back...they lose Funk and Tolliver, and 75% of their scoring. They've got some solid players that will be taking the floor, but it might take a while for the team to jell.

Yeah those two guys were total studs. Nate Funk was the man!

Lets see how they rebuild....

Are these on the line?

just the national champ futures so far...I think Kansas at 18/1 is a good play

looks like thegreek just put up conference champ futures too...I'll have to mull those over, but Miss St looks good for the SEC West at +250
