Have not pulled the trigger yet, waiting to see if TN and/or other accomplished baseball cappers are going to weigh in on the other side of these plays. This is what I am strongly considering at the time but have yet to place the wagers:

Boston 157
Bos/Cle O8 (-104)
Colorado 112
Col/Arz U9 (-106)

Cool, you were one of the guys I was hoping would chime in SS. What is your thought process on the totals? Like the Boston game for example? Though both are obviously aces with good stuff, neither has really pitched well against the other team. Plus with both Manny and Ortiz hitting a groove, I just think there will be more scoring than most predict. In fact I wouldn't be shocked to see CC not make it to the 5th inning, Red Sox are like 5-1 their last 6 home games against lefties. I know the world is going to see two great pitchers and automatically play the game UNDER but is there more to your opinions than that?

BTW what about the sides, you like Boston and Colorado as well? Thanks man, your thoughts are always appreciated.

i dont really have an opinion on the sides and i did play bos/clev Under 8.5 (-1.15), so i still win on an 8..

I was really hoping for a 9 on both games but redsox/clev has now moved to an 8........

i could give you a bunch of heavy trend reasons why to take the Under in bos/clev but you can look those up for yourself..

Yeah I see all those trends, hell they could certainly be right. Pens are throwing great right now as well, with two quality starters it certainly could be an UNDER. I guess I am just leary when the world all sees the game the same way. At another place they have the Red Sox UNDER as the Play of the Century, LOL.

I may stay off the total and just take Boston. I hate laying the chalk but I really feel they are the play tonight. Beckett has another gear he seems to find for the post-season.

pat let me just shoot from the hip on these... and its just my opinion and my capping..

bos/clev: i couldnt play this Over at any number, thats just me and the way i cap... i would not play it under at (7.5)..... (8) is real close but i would play it under (8.5) which i did...... i would have loved a (9) here but no chance on that...

az/col: im on the Over 9 and would have played Over (9.5).. at (10) i pass and only at (11) would i have played this one Under.... now again, that is just me and my opinion..

you decide for yourself.......

Fair enough man, thank you. I have to keep in mind I have not been betting bases for the last month or so, plus your record for totals speak for itself. Like I said I think I am going to just lay off the totals.

This is why I started the thread first, if my mind was 100% made up I would have just bet the plays and not asked for opinions. The more feedback the better. Good luck tonight SS, I am going to play the Red Sox for 2 units, the Rockies for 1 unit.

Pat, i will tell you this before i step out for a while..

I play them all the same and move up betting amounts as profits rise but i do like the col/az Over, better than bos/clev Under...

fwiw..

I think the totals are both going to be unders #1 or #2 guy for all teams and good pitching shuts down good hitting. the red hot rockies are going to lose a game here before to long and i would just pass on this play the law of averages are against you and the cleveland indians are just getting no respect and i think that is a mistake. I like Cleveland to get over the hump and although becket has been unhittable I'm seeing a 3 to 2 game here with the indians squeeking one out.

I'll never fucking learn. Up almost 40 units for the year in bases and allow myself to be talked out of a play I wanted all day long. I knew Sabathia wasn't going to shut down this Red Sox line-up tonight, this one had OVER written all over it.

Oh well, at least I got Boston for 2 units.

BTW I am not angry with SS (or anyone else) at all, hell through the years he's saved me a lot of money I'm sure. I'm pissed at myself for not being more confident in my plays.

Of course the game could still stay under too, I might be crying for no reason, LOL.

Just as I thought, Sabathia is knocked out before he ever gets out of the 5th. I know you are right Pumps, it just burns my ass when I do something like this. Reminds me of reading the program and deciding to play a horse, then getting to the window and changing your mind. Of course the horse comes roaring home. I did not like CC's chances here against a hot Sox team in Fenway but stayed off the play like a p u s s y.

Anyway there is much worse things in life than winning 2 units on the game, that is if Boston hangs on for the win, LOL. Just wonder now if I should go ahead and add the UNDER play in the Arizona game? I liked it too but got off that total as well. Of course it will cash too if I don't play it. If I do add it I will lose my ass. Just going to sit pat and kick myself if it stays under, not adding crap to the card now.

Stay in lucky thread from Friday, hope Rocks can hold on for 2-0 night.....

Saturdays card:

Cleveland +124
Cleveland +120 (1st 5 innings)

No feelings for the total, my gut tells me that the Indians are going to get to Schilling early though. Of course all opinions welcomed......

Thanks for the props men but let's get serious, one good night doesn't make anyone a good capper, and it certainly doesn't expose someone as a "phony". Look at SS and his long term record around here if you don't believe me. He's been around a long time and has the respect of everyone, including me, he surely doesn't need me to defend him. Let's try and keep it civil please.
