Good feel for this series so far, on them in game 1 when they won, off them game 2 when they lost. I really like the price I am getting on a team that is not going to fall behind 2-1. No opinion on the total.

You like a team on the road getting -119? You do realize that the Indians beat the Sox in Boston? The Indians are every bit as good as the Sox. They proved it in the regular season having the same record, and they proved it by splitting the series in Boston. The home field has shifted, the Indians are the ones with the advantage now. The only thing I'll give you on this one is that Westbrook is up and down with his sinker. But if he is on, there is not a 3rd pitcher in the league that can match him. GL, I won't be betting it because I want to just watch and root on my Indians without worrying about a bet.

FYI, Patrick had the over in Game I
Patrick had Boston in Game I
Patrick predicted Schilling would get hit in Game II and picked the Injuns (even though he "timed" it wrong)

So I think he does realize that the Injuns beat the Sox in Boston ... he might not have a TV but he does seem to have the internet.

Of course he realizes that the Indians beat them. It was not meant literally.

Just Take The Easy Bet! Over!

Westbrook Is Gonna Get Rocked Like Last Time, Dice-k Is Struggling As Well.

If You Take The Over, You Can Just Sit Back And Enjoy The Game After The 6th Inning.

Good luck Pat.

As a die hard sox fan. I will tell you, this Cleve team is scaring the crap out of me.

Dice is a really good road pitcher though.

Never noticed how funny you are until recently, LOL. They got the TV, still outrunning them for my internet service though. For the record (not that it matters), I didn't have the over in game 1, thought about it but didn't pull the trigger. There's a thread here about it, certainly that was my lean but I passed on both totals that night like a jackass. I did play Boston for double my regular bet though, that made up for it. In game 2 I played Cleveland for both the game and 1st 5, so he's right, my timing was off but still made a modest profit. Anyway my point, which might be using the term loosely, was I am seeing the games well right now. It's like hoops when you shoot and you know it's going in when it leaves your hand, right now I look at the inter.... err... I mean I pick up the discarded newspaper under the overpass and immediately the winner stands out to me. I have no horse in the race either, couldn't care less if it's Boston or Cleveland, that usually helps in my capping of a series.

Good luck whatever you all do, certainly far and away from being a sure thing, I just like the Sox here. I like their starting pitcher better, I like their line-up better, I like what Manny and Ortiz are doing, against a #3 it might get ugly. Dice-K on the other hand knows this is the reason they paid the big bucks to bring him over, it's time to produce and make their investment worthwhile. Time to earn that fat check. It's go time as they say at the local go-cart track where I dominate in the under 15 action!

Thanks Funk. Yeah getting Dice over Westbrook at almost even money is something I can't pass up. We'll see tonight though, there's a reason they call it gambling.

Die hard Sox fan myself, and I'm not sure why people are giving Dice so much damn credit. He really has not looked great in the last few months... and he is a less effective pitcher on the road than he is at home.

Sure, Dice vs Westbrook at even money is a decent gamble to take, but I don't think the Sox have a huge advantage in starting pitching tonight.

Just my .02 though

YMar - I don't know where anyone stated Boston had a huge advantage in starting pitching. I think he is better, but my thinking is more directed to what I feel he will do tonight. I think he's going to show why he's a big game pitcher. If I am wrong it won't be the first time.

BTW I don't see a no-hitter and Sox killing anyone, but I do think Dice pitches a solid game tonight. Just for the hell of it, he goes 7, gives up 3 runs and 7 hits.

Dice K has a lower ERA on the road than he does at home ... and this isn't a small sample ... it's over the entire season.

Oh well, not what I hoped. The Dice K doubters were on the money. Not that he was so horrible actually, just the offense hasn't shown and Westbrook has been lights out. Game isn't over yet but looking good for the Tribe backers, I was clearly wrong on this one.

Westbrook had his sinker on. That's what's scary about betting against or for him. He can either be lights out or the other team breaks some lights with the amount of homers they hit. Being an Indians fan aside. When the Indians made their run at the end of the season, I just felt like it was their year. The magic at the Jake is back.:pope:

Who is MAGIC? Is he a fair-weather fan who only attends playoff games?

I thought he lived in Denver.
