Team down 11 facing 4th and long from around the 20 he decides to go for the TD instead of sure FG with under 2 minutes left and no TO's

Of course they dont get the first down and Saints run out the clock

My question is how the hell does this clown not lose his job?

This is the second brainlock this fatass has had in a month (vs Arizona)

Hasselbeck ran into Alexander and they both fumbled the ball while in FG range at Arizona. Holmgren can't prevent two idiots from bumbling around the field when the game winner is a sure thing.

Was a pretty dumb decision. Not as bad as Ilini's Ron Zook not declining 2 3rd down penalties during last saturday's game against Iowa. You would have thought he learned his listen after Iowa scored a TD after Zookhead allowed them a do over on 3rd down. Not next Iowa poss. Zookhead gave Iowa a do over on 3rd down to see Iowa complete a 25 yard pass. Simply amazing.

Biggamer,

This is what happened Saturday with Ron Zook. Late 3rd or early 4th qtr, Illini were leading 6-3. Iowa had 3rd and 2 at the illini 20 to 25 yard line. Iowa runs on 3rd down and loses a 1/2 yard. Penalty of illegal motion on Iowa. Instead of declining penalty, which would have made it 4th & 2.5 from the 20 to 25 yld, Zookhead accepts 5 yard penalty and gives Iowa another chance now 3rd & 7. Iowa connects for a 25 yard TD pass. Next Iowa possesion with score 10-6 Iowa, Iowa has a 3rd & 5 around Midfield. Iowa throws an incomplete pass, but a penalty of offensive holding is called. Instead of declining penalty Zookhead accepts and moves Iowa back 10 yards. Now 3rd & 15 Iowa completes a 25 yard pass inside the 30 yard line. Luckily for Zookhead Iowa fumbled inside the 10 YLD a few plays later. Maybe Zookhead dosen't know he has the option to decline penalties. Or maybe he had Iowa plus the points.

:monsters-
Unreal how a man of Zooks caliber can fuck up like that, i mean at 4th and 2 from the 20 Iowa was gonna kick FG for sure to tie and to give them another chance for a first is beyond absurd and i am completely lost for an explanation:think2:

You can get -9 1/2 for Cincinnati against Wanny's team (Pitt Panthers) this weekend. Bearcats are on the road though.

Dave Wanndstedt is still the king.

Will never forget the time he was coaching the Bears, and they had just scored a touchdown to cut it to one with 2 minutes left. He went for two, missed (of course), and when asked to explain why didn't go for the tie, he said something like he didn't want to put the pressure on his defense to lose the game in overtime. Like, what did he expect the final two minutes to evaporate into thin air? And the most hilarious thing was Chris Berman, who never met a coach or player he couldn't suck up to, actually said that it was a great move!

Don't forget my personal favorite of all-time. Al "the moron" Groh.
UVA scores to make it 16-6 with 4:50 to go in the game doesno't go for 2. I thought the players at UVA might be smart enough to say coach, what the fuck are you doing?

In lieu of this weekends idiotic decisions to punt twice inside the Bowling Green 35, I would like to bump Dave Wannstadt to the top of the "DUMBEST COACHES IN CFB LIST."

ANd oh ya, Pitt extended his contract this past off season.....AHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAA.
