I have no doubt in my mind that the Pats can win this one by 20+ if they want to ... but like any other spread, the question is: (a) Will they want to? (b) Can they (will they) prevent a backdoor cover?
They haven't beaten anyone by less than 17 points.
Yesterday, Belichick took out Brady in the 3rd ... and when the lead went down to 21, he brought Brady back in ... because the Fins were too close when they were 21 behind.
If a coach is going to sweat a 21 point lead, then I can see this one hitting 17+ pretty easy.
That being said, the week after this game, they play at Indy ... so even if they get a big lead, will they put in the scrubs by the end of the 3rd quarter and let a 20 point lead become 11 or 14?
