This is an absolute debacle.

I've been trying non stop for the last half hour. I'm still on the stupid countdown page.

I've been trying too. Page aborting every time

Yep. I've talked with no less than a dozen people so far, and they're all going through the same thing. The Rockies are getting a ton of shit here in town about they way they're handling this.

People are going to go postal over this. No one liked the idea in the first place, and them some moron actually claimed that their system had to capacity to handle the traffic.

What a debacle

CENTENNIAL, Colo. - Super-fast computers normally used only during emergencies were to be staffed Monday so state employees could buy Rockies World Series tickets online.
Until word of the plan got out, that is.
“I need volunteers to help push buttons in attempting access,” David Holm, recently the acting director of the state Division of Emergency Management, said in an e-mail obtained and released by KUSA-TV on Friday. “You will need to use break time, lunch time or leave time to do this and the only real perk I can offer right now is that if someone does not pay for their tickets within 3 days, you will get first crack at them.”

Ugh...

Any luck with you guys? I'm close to giving up, but still trying. A buddy of mine in the ticket office said if you get in, order in odd numbers, as most will be looking for pairs or four. Figure if I can request one ticket, I may have some luck.

Why in God's name did they wait until the conclusion of the ALCS to put tickets up? I agree that it should be zip code protected (from your billing address on the credit card). Can't wait to see 48000 fill Coors, half of which are Sox fans. It's no different when the Cubs or Yanks or Sox are in town. Nothing worse than being at Coors and hearing more support for the opponent than the home team. Home field, when it comes to the Rox in big games, really is not that big a deal. I will not be betting this series as I'm too emotionally involved, but home field at Coors(from a fan support perspective) should not contribute too much to handicapping this series. I actually cancelled an African Safari the year the Rox signed Hampton and Neagle thinking they would be in the post season. Got rid of my season tickets shortly after. Wish I hadn't. Dumb on my part.

The Monforts are complete idiots. I go to Tucson every year for Spring Training, and they manage to also mess up that ticket situation - especially when big name teams play at Hi-Corbett. I have the news on in the background and nobody knows what the hell is going on.

TT...you still owe me that drink we talked about during the blizzards last year!!!!!

well the thing that boggles me is they wasted a perfect opportunity to hold a lottery and probably get 100,000 email addresses/other information from their customers.....mind boggling how dumb people are sometimes.

Quick update...watching the news right now at noon MST, and the Rox are saying there are still tickets available, but the servers are too busy. Shocker.

Of 300+ emails 9news received, only 2 people could get in. What a disaster.

If I have to, I suppose I'll go through a third party, but the way this has been handled is extremely frustrating for Rockies fans.

As a Sox fan I used to think this was cool. But I enjoy the hostile enviroment more when we are on the road.

I find it difficult to believe this many people grew up in new england LOL

Holy shit. Ticket sales suspended, very few apparently have been sold. They are going to try to get the system back up at some point this afternoon.

Haha...I hear you. I had no idea there were so many folks that grew up in Colorado, or the Rocky Mtn Region, for that matter.

The Rox just came out and suspended sales. The majority of tickets are still available, but they need to "fix the servers.". Unreal. The Rox PR guy is getting heckled on TV right now b/c the IT group vastly underpredicted the amount of internet hits. They're saying 8.5 million hits in the last 90 minutes. They knew this was coming. So funny...this guy is getting booed at his press conference outside Coors right now.:lolBIG:

At this rate, we're going to have a riot out here before the WS even starts.

Can you believe this bullshit?
