Lebron and his improved jumper to win the MVP at 5-1. Health aside I can't see him not winning. Nobody votes for Kobe, Wade is out for awhile, Nowitzki won't have enough numbers, Garnett plays with 2 other stars and Nash has won it twice already and it will take a monster season to prove he's worth being a 3 time winner.

Better value is Yao at +1500 to win MVP or 'Melo at +800 or so

I don't see any value in those players. Yao can barely grab 10 boards a game. Sure he's vastly improved but he's not MVP calibre. Melo's a great scorer and thats about it, poor man's Kobe. Lebron will score similar points but have more boards and far more assists. And plus if the superior Kobe can't get enough votes then Melo and his character issues has zero chance.

Lebron is clearly the best player in the league and is on a team where he is the only true threat.

Only injury can stop him from taking the award this year.

here's another;

Rockets to win it all at 20-1 at Oly.

Best number out there that I've seen and I believe in this team. Adelman is hungry for a championship and there are the necessary players in place for a real run. Luis Scola is an upgrade and with Yao now a true threat paired with McGrady its hard to argue they don't have the talent. They are real deep with quality players so even an injury here or there won't hurt them. Battier, Head, Francis, Alston, Mike James, Mutumbo, Snyder, Hayes, Wells, Sura. Ridiculous amount of talent here.

Right now I put them just behind Dallas and San Antonio but as you can see by the win totals brought out they aren't as far behind as one might think. They could realistically emerge with the best record in the West.

Only concern are the back issue's with McGrady. But at 20-1 its def worth it.

Yeah he only took a crappy team to the NBA finals based on hype and no talent:nohead:

No one can say he is the best yet, but he has got to be in the top 5 no doubt

You can get the idea with the GM's and other voters that they want to give MVP to Lebron. They want to reward his all around game and make him the face of the NBA.

Instead, the Cavaliers' LeBron James was chosen as the likely MVP by GMs who voted in the sixth annual NBA.com GM survey. Nowitzki, who won the award last season, did not receive a single vote.

James (30 percent) also received the most votes last season in the MVP category. He beat the Spurs' Tim Duncan (22 percent) and the Lakers' Kobe Bryant (19 percent) this time.

took my thunder. and no more back issues with McGrady. only real concern imo is Yao staying healthy. Best offseason by any playoff team from last year, not just with the personnel, but also the coaching change. 20-1 is damn good price for their chances and also possible hedging at some point.

TWolvs over 20 wins. They may not have much, but they are young and I think they will play hard. In the NBA, with all the ups and downs, I think they will easily win over 20. No team in the last 5 years has been under 20.

I agree. Over 20 wins should be a cakewalk. 21-61 is still an awful season. I say they get 25-27 wins
