What was your first sportsbook via Phone and/or Online

Phone: English Sports Betting
When I was 16 I started an account with them. Was betting $20 teasers every weekend. I remember a cute sounding female always answering the phone there.

Online: Bodog
Started with them when I was 21. Loved the easy deposit feature, messed around with them for years until discovering a way better book in Pinnacle. Was shocked that a book like that even existed.

How about you?

playersonly of course

I believe that it was back in 1997 or 1998

I remember being member of ESB as well but cant remember the year, but I know that I did pay a membership fee as well

Before that I bet at sportbooks or through a bookie

By the way, this was a whole 2 years before I had EVER heard of internet gasmbling forums. I know that now people are a little more familiar with posting forums, but I still only post at 3 sites on the net, 2 are gambling.

I would guess that only 5% of all gamblers online have EVER HEARD of gambling forums

If that is true, the other 95% just dont know what they are missing out on.

I dont remember the name of my book it was a long freaking time ago, before you could place an internet bet and everything was a 50$ minimum. Were talking like 12-13 years ago.

Hard to admit it, ESB and I did pay the 96 dollar fee. Think I found their add in the Pro football weekly.

Bowmans via Sebastian. Sebastian kind of got me into Sportsbetting by listening to his radio show, but I had bet sports ( not seriously) long before when I lived in Vegas.

Next one was SIA.

sportsbook- won a $100 free account in some thanksgiving contest they were having.

-pick qb with most yds, rb with most yds , kicker with most fgs and a couple more. liked the fact you could transfer money from paradise poker to the spbook.

later learned they sucked and switched to pinny, betcris and sky. currently using betjam, bookmaker and sp book with money that has been in there for awhile

I also paid the $96, but he did hit three of the four $25 Bonus Plays they gave you with that. That had to be about ten years ago.
