Tampa Bay has 11 games in the next 18 days beginning with road tilt at Washington

The Lightning have played the fewest games of any team in the NHL this season, but things are about to pick up considerably.
Having just six contests in the first few weeks, the Bolts begin a stretch of 11 games in 18 days with tonight's game at Washington.
And as first reported by tbo.com the Lightning will give Marc Denis his first tonight. Denis has come into one of the first six games in relief of starting goalie Johan Holmqvist.
Air time is 7 p.m. on the Sports Animal and the faceoff will be just a few minutes after that. Tampa Bay quickly turns around to host Philly Thursday, one of three back-to-back portions of the upcoming schedule.
Two goals late in the second period finally gave the Lightning the cushion they so well deserved, as Tampa Bay went on to roll Atlanta 6-2 at the St. Pete Times Forum on Saturday.
The Lightning are 4-0 at home this year. Tampa Bay had lost two in a row on the road but clearly came out a different team, outshooting Atlanta 17-2 in the first period.
Vinny Prospal scored two goals and Mathieu Darche recorded a goal for the first time in five years. Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis also added tallies, the first of the year for St. Louis. He and Darche's scores came 39 seconds apart late in the second period to extend the Tampa Bay lead to 5-1.
Prospal had the Bolts' first and last goals of the game against Johan Hedberg, who has been pressed into duty after Atlanta starter Kari Lehtonen had a recurrence of a groin injury on Thursday night.
Bruins goalie Tim Thomas made the Lightning his latest victim, as Boston won its home opener 4-1 over Tampa Bay Thursday.
After the game Lightning coach John Tortorella said that defenseman Dan Boyle is "close" to returning from his thumb injury.
