Ridley Scott’s American Gangster Leaked Online

October 25th, 2007 by Lucy

The first Oscar screener has been leaked online, marking the beginning of the ‘For Your Consideration’ season. Ridley Scott’s new film American Gangster has been leaked a week and a half before the official release date.
The film has been uploaded to the bit torrent networks and has been downloaded by tens of thousands of people already. Normally, pirated movies are known for their awful bad quality video camera taped copies. With Award Season Screener, the movie quality is just as good as retail DVD releases.
While this may not have to much of an affect on how the film performs at the US Box Office when it’s released on November 2nd, it’s release in other world territories could suffer as it is released as late as February 2008.
Whether or not the film still gets the results it expects at US Box offices is debateable. Hollywood horror guru Eli Roth recently blamed piracy for lower than expected box office numbers for Hostel: Part II. The work print for the film was leaked a week before the movie’s national release.

Just a question. For the record, I don't care what anyone does but I just thought of something in regards to this issue. Is there anyone who complained about Sportbook stealing money but think it's ok to steal in watching this movie? Again, I don't care what anyone does but was wondering what people thought.

I dont have time to go to the movie theaters..I work 6 days a week. I dont think of watching this movie as stealing...since I will probably watch it again when it comes to dvd.

I will pay for it on DVD or through my cable bill on subscriptions to HBO and Encore through DirecTV

I hear ya Max. Like I said, it was more of a question than anything. How about that last Texans game. Man, tough way to lose huh. They need to stop turning the damn ball over and get things straightened out.

Download and install this codec pack for Windows XP. It will play damn near anything encoded with divx and xvid using Windows media player, or your favorite media player:
