By Tim Graham | Wednesday, October 24, 2007, 07:54 PM

Maybe he was joking, but gregarious Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder confessed today he didn’t know until Tuesday that people spoke English in London.
Crowder, a former Florida Gator and Atlanta native, apparently isn’t sure where the plane is headed when it takes off this afternoon for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants in Wembley Stadium.
“I couldn’t find London on a map if they didn’t have the names of the countries,” Crowder said. “I swear to God. I don’t know what nothing is. I know Italy looks like a boot. I learned that.
“I know (Washington Redskins linebacker) London Fletcher. We did a football camp together. So I know him. That’s the closest thing I know to London. He’s black, so I’m sure he’s not from London. I’m sure that’s a coincidental name.”

“He’s from London?” Crowder said. “I knew he was from over there because he talks funny. I was surprised (when they met) because — I don’t want to say he didn’t look the part because that’s a stereotype — but he didn’t look the part. I heard him talk, and I thought he had a recorder and was just mouthing.”

he'll never have to worry about the death penalty. I don't think they execute people with an IQ less than 35.

That was pretty bad...the question is...

would you trade your life/job now AND your IQ for his?

(let this apply to normal people cause we all know some of you are mega-millionaires...this questions is obviously meant for those less fortunate financially than an NFL player)

The article asked Crowder to further articulate his point about not knowing the people of London spoke English. He later admitted off the record that "I thought them jungle people over in London spoke Londonese!":missingte:lol:

If he wasn't joking, then he is playing it off well...if he was, that was pretty funny and it is unfortunate the majority will mistake his intelligent sense of humor for stupidity

It was a joke and only a Dullard wouldn't be able to see that.

It's funny watching people call him stupid for saying what he did, when truth be known they are the fools, for not being able to see the joke is on them.

Reminds me of the guy walking out of the public restroom with toliet paper stuck inside his pants and trailing behind him and his zipper down, and when he comes out he points to someone with their shirt collar stuck inside their shirt and exclaims "oh my gosh, look at them do they have any idea how stupid they look".

He then walks off with people looking at his open fly, and toilet paper waving in the wind behind him.

Lotta clueless fools in this world......

who says you have to go to class to play football? I know a RB for the Bills that couldn't read the instructions on how to turn his $20000 TV on. I know it was the white mans fault if A black man would of made the TV he would of included pictures.

What's not funny is that statement is a good representation of American schools these days.
