Hotel room wise: Both need some remodels but would lean Mirage. I like Luxor's location because of MB and MGM.

Food: Mirage

Sportsbook: Mirage

Gaming: Better rules games to be found at Mirage. But lower limits at Luxor (luxor finally has same doubledeck bj game as mirage now but half of the time it is not open)

NIghtlife: Havent been to LAX at Luxor but JET is pretty cool at Mirage.

Mirage, and it isn't close

I don't see one reason why Luxor over Mirage.

Not sure why these are the 2 choices, but I think a better question is what other than mirage for similar price!

RickA....any chance of coming to Costa Rica in December?? I would also choose the Mirage because of the proximity to other venues..

Parents stayed at the Mirage last year.
Remodeled casino and restaurants in the last couple years. Above-average buffet. Only downside is there is no food court or place to grab a quick bite.
Location is better as well.
Both are MGM-Mirage-Mandalay properties so comping system will be same as will odds.

Unless you get free rooms at Luxor, Mirage is the easy choice.

Anyone else like the smell of MGM?

I just stayed at Mirage and I think it's just fair. It feels a little cramped to me. A little too dark, very busy traffic flow and too warm at times. I prefer MGM and Bellagio to Mirage.

When I was in MGM, it felt busy and dark at the same time. i was a little tipsy but I had a weird feeling when I was in there. My friend called MGM - Money Gone Mysteriously :nohead:
