I disagree. They were being shutout with a couple minutes left. I would hardly say that was a Heisman performance. A nice comeback but not a Heisman winning performance either.

Lots of football left this year.

VT's defense is as good as anyone in the nation....

Those final two drives were masterpieces.

I sure as hell hope that didn't win him the Heisman. He played a bad game for 58 minutes on national TV. Granted the last 2 minutes were great, but turn down the sound on your TV.

If that is not a Heisman-defining moment nothing is. Has a horrible game then has not one, but two clutch drives to win the game. Then he's puking his guts out on the sideline after he has won it.:103631605

Ryan was the frontrunner before the game, though not a runaway. True, they were shutout, but they were in Blacksburg on a Thursday night and the guys sacked up and led two pretty signficant touchdown drives with less than two minutes to win the game.

There was another BC quarterback who once won the Heisman on the strength of a game-winning drive on national TV.

I agree about their defense but I am sorry that was far from a Heisman winning type performance. A great ending and a decent performance but it doesnt excuse being SHUTOUT for 58 minutes.

Probably was puking because he played a good game vs a prevent defense for a total of 1 minute.

How was he the frontrunner before the game? Woodson and Tebow are the two frontrunners right now, just look at the odds on them to win it.

unbelievable. If anyone ever calls a football coach a "genius" in my presence and is serious, I am going to kick them in the nuts. I can't begin to count the number of times a team has complete control of a game for 55 minutes and decides to go into "prevent defense" or stop rushing guys or stop blitzing only to give up as many yards in 5 minutes as they gave up all game.

Frank Beamer YOU ARE A FUCKING MORON AND DESERVE TO LOSE. IDIOT

And no, I didn't have any money on the game. Just unbelievable.

Ryan completed 48% of his passes with 2 pics. If that clinches him a Heisman that would be a bigger robbery than when Bush stole it running circles around Fresno State
