Odds? You're up 2-0, let's hear it.

Just don't slice me up like a birthday cake please. I'm not looking to get myself on your "scoreboard".

Well I already have that bet before the series started. But what odds do you want to give me on it and maybe we can bet on it

I dont think the Sox sweep either.

But the Rocks really need to collect themselves for game 3, they have some nice advantages working for them here.

Well they probably wont sweep, but they will win game 3 GUARANTEED!

I am sure that he will give me odds of around 1.6 to 1

The problem that the sox face in game 3 is that either Youkalis, Lowell or Ortiz will have to sit it out.

In games 1 & 2 the Rocks featured a DH batting 9th while the Sox DH was a power hitting MVP contender who makes 15 mil a year.

Then you add in the ruckus Rocks crowd and the fact this pitcher has been hot in the post season.

They have a few things working for them here does Colorado, is all I am saying.

However, the sox kicked ass in IL play on the road this year.

Having excellent pinch hitters on the bench will weigh more heavily in this spot than the 2 or POSSIBLY 3 times that the pitcher will bat. If the pitcher for Boston bats three times, then I GUARANTEE that they will win. Most likely, the starting pitcher will only bat 2 times and possibly only once depending on how hot the Colorday pitcher does

Thought I heard McCarver say last night that the plan is to sit Youkalis and play Ortiz at first. This along with Manny playing left in a large outfield and not a short left field presents two defensive liabilities for the Sox.

Its hard to be a defensice liability at first though.

But I would start Ortiz as well of course

Hopefully that spacious outfield will give the Sox outfielders some problems. We may get to see Manny on the blooper reels.

the idea the red sox are in defensive trouble is horribly overrated. while there is some truth to it, it is not a big factor in this game. Manny plays a decent left, Ortiz will catch anything hit or thrown at him. dont look for any defensive gems but its not like he cannot play 1st base.

and any late inning lead will be protected by bringing in Crisp to play center, moving Ellsbury to left and Youkillis in to play 1st.

The ROCKIES make this a series...........

The RED SOX are hurt tremedously by having ORTIZ or YOUK out of the lineup..........tremendously.

Either way Bosox fan wants to view this, it is not a positive.

Again, the ROCKIES make this a series.......by taking at least two out of three in Colorado.

Well at +150, I might as well stick to my original 4-0 sweep odds. I am a little embarrassed at my odds that I got for that since I saw better at 2 other books later in the day on Monday

Believe it or not, I think this way also.

The big question to me is can the Rockies gather themselves in the huge stage and play well enough to do what you just described?

The last 12 home teams that started the WS 2-0 won it.

Winning game 4 might be too tough with Lester on the mound. I was hoping that Beckett would start game 4 if they were up 3-0. You might as well let him start and pitch 5 innings and give him the MVP. As it stands now, he will not be the MVP when they sweep.

If you give me +175, then we can bet $50 or $100 on it
