Looks good...7 different conferences represented with the top 8 teams

Here are the points per conference according to this poll...Pac-10 finally wins something (6 of their 10 teams ranked, and 8 with at least 1 vote!):

Pac-10 (2123)
Big East (2022)
ACC (1312)
Big 12 (1234)
Big 10 (1084)
SEC (1013)
Others (1287)

It's also interesting to note that UCLA got the most first-place votes, but still got beat out by UNC for the top spot. The top 3 are very close to each other, but seperated from the rest of the pack.

How is Georgetown looking this year man? Jeff Green was such a huge player for them and thought they would drop off a bit. FYI I am a big Pitt fan so love to see the Big East teams in top 5.

Tennessee will finally get over that hump and become a real threat to go all the way.

They return the same exact team but lose Green. Everyone left has another year in the system and it should make them deeper then last year since they were playing 2 freshman and ewing ( First year playing after transfer)considerable minutes. That and they add 2 all american guards. They finnally have someone who can drive and dish which should open things up for them.

V Macklin will get some playing time this year and look for him, Summers, and Ewing to pick up some of Green minutes.

I think when its all said and done they will be better then they were last year. They will have a deeper rotation and more guys who know the system who have all played togther for a while.

Either that or they miss JG more then they ever imagined and be a middle of the pack BE team... I guess we will see...

Either way I will be drunk at all there home games having a good time...

How is Pitt looking this year?

Cuse will be in the top 25 - they had a top 5 recruiting class with a top 10 player and a top 25 - Harris got 100x better by the end of the season and they have a returning sophmore center that was hurt last year - if Donte Green is for real they could be a top 10 team - but who knows with all these high school rankings - I know Mello and Amare Stoudamire were pretty much one and two by rivals and that was fairly accurate.
