we've all heard about it...how they shade thier lines.

how does it work? the games would have to be fixed for them to consistently know the outcome

here's an example:

pinnacle has HOU -6.5.....every other book has HOU -5 or -6

if you liked HOU you would bet elsewhere. If you liked UTEP you would play there.

why are they shading Houston?

Because Henry at Pinnacale lets his old buddy Billy Walters play there small, or perhaps just has a line on his plays..... and he on HOU large...moved it from -3.5

and he is also RED HOT right now

The don't have to be fixed - they just have to have an informed opinion on where the line should be.

actually no way in hell BW would ever bet there in fear that H would move the line all over the place with his own money

must have a line on his plays

Um, I dont even recall the last time I saw Pinny off 1.5 pts and Im here all day....

actually pinny leans on games by juicing the mother out of one of the sides. If they like something they'll use a ridiculous juice (even up to -150 on occasion) to avoid taking any money on it and basically throwing u the option of picking up + money.

they'll use crap like -9 +115 instead of using a -7.5 or an 8

on totals, they juice the side getting steamed like there is no tomorrow and then move the line ahead of what eeryone else has. For example if the sharp play is the over 48, they'll go to 48over25 while everyone else goes to 50 and then they'll move to 50.5 or 51
