Who will be World Series MVP if the Sox sweep today?

I'm assuming a sweep would rule Beckett out, as surely a pitcher would need to pitch two games to be considered. But then again I'm only an aussie with not much idea on how these things are selected.

I had a small wager on Pedroia at 17/1 and he is equal leader in hits and RBI's for the series so I am quite happy at this point. Is he a realistic chance or am I way off the mark?

Pedroia would probably get the nod right now if he had a good game today.

I doubt Boston wins today with Lester though, I see Beckett nailing it down and winning MVP.

TOUGH, TOUGH call.............IF the Bosox end it this evening, it will come down to no less than 10 players on the team with a chance to win it and will probably come down to who actually has the best game tonight.

After three games, my nod goes to Julio Lugo...........a .400 AVG with three walks coupled with some outstanding defensive plays.

See this poll..........

I don't give it Julio based on his performance the last 2 rounds.
Dustin has been SOLID throughout

....that should not be a consideration however, but understand that it certainly can play a role in voters eyes.

I think if Ellsbury has 2 or more hits tonight, he could contend. It just may be the role player who has the best night tonight.

Had Okajima not given up that HR, he might be the guy. I had said all season that he was the Red Sox MVP.
