You could argue that but essentially the missed chip shot field goals offset each other. The late TD by Miami was meaningless unless you bet on either side of the game and changed the graded result of that game by a big figure.
At 13-3 you had all pushes and winners at 13-10 you had winners and losers. The TD also cost Giant minus 6/6.5 and 7 point teaser bettors and saved Dolphin teaser betters using the same numbers but taking plus -- of course they all still had to win the other side of their teasers.
Bigamer, true any score would have had the same effect but with the weather and field conditions the way there were a 40 yard field goal was no gimme.

My point is that you have to look at the scoring as a whole. If you start asking "what if" about any one particular or score, it opens the door for questioning everything that happened in the game. In the end the only score that matters is the final score.

And many of those that bet on Miami had +10 or better. The game was around the 10.
