<DIV><DIV><DIV"></DIV">Bill Belichick to NBCSports.com’s Tom Curran, on running-up-the-score talk. “When I was coaching defense it was my job to keep the score down, not theirs. When you're playing defense it's your job to stop them. It's not (the offense's) job to not score. It's like I tell the offense, what the (bleep) do you think I send you guys out there for? To punt? We have a punt team for that. That's not your job. Your job is to go out there and score points. If you come off the field and you haven't scored points you haven't done your job." You tell em, Bill. <DIV"> <DIV"></DIV"></DIV"></DIV></DIV>

Serious question: do the Patriots have a punter on the roster?

like the quote..to people crying about running up the score; we are talking about grown men here..not some 8 or 9 year olds worried about if their feelings are going to hurt

Was it Bill's job to videotape the opposing teams play calling?

Was it the Defensive end's job to throw himself right at J.P. Losman's knee on the first or second play in their game a few weeks back getting a personal foul?

There's no doubt in anyone's mind the Patriots are the best team in football right now but its also evident that you're witnessing a bunch of cheating fucks every Sunday, after yesterday, you can add 'classless' to the other long list of adjectives like 'amazing' and 'impressive'.

If I was a coach I would expect 100% on every single play. I agree with the coach here.

fine. go ahead and score. we can debate that. what cannot be debated is that Mr. Bill needlessly exposed his starting quarterback to injury.

Mr. Bill is a winner. He is also one strange dude.

In an interview on WEEI today, Brady said (paraphrasing):

"It's not just about points. People on our team are playing for contracts too. How Welker and Eckles and Moss do determines how they will get paid next year."

I don't think the dipshits on the Redskins were worried about the score ... they were worried about how bad they looked ... and believe me when I say that it's not just offenses that pad stats ... some defensive players would have padded their stats if they had been given a couple of free tackles on fullback dives up the middle. 9 tackles and 2 tackles for loss for a D lineman would look better than 2 tackles, wouldn't it?
